Coalgate Issue and the Credibility of the CBI

COALGATE ISSUE AND THE CREDIBILITY OF THE CBI-

On the 1st of May, 2013 there has been heavy news reporting about an Additional Solicitor General (ASG) writing a letter to the Attorney-General on the subject of having had to make a statement before the Supreme Court of India to the effect that the CBI Report had not been shown to the Government or to the Law Minister when in fact the truth was entirely different. The Court did not take kindly to this breach. The said ASG has had to resign.

But the main controversy relates to the independence and impartiality of the CBI since the news reports indicate that the Law Minister has stated that after all the report was only shown to the Government and not to any outsider. The very impartiality of the premier investigative agency has been put under a cloud due to these developments and the Court has expressed its anguish and  promised to take steps.

CBI is governed by the planet Mars which is in Mūlatṛkoṇa/ Moolatrikona Rashi at the present time in Meṣa/ Mesha/ Aries and therefore the working of the CBI has been called into question. The exalted Sun is also there and therefore the polity of the nation and the role of politicians are also seen clearly. There is an element of headlessness in all this because of Ketu joining the Yoga. Ketu also indicates mistakes being made.

The real astrological cause behind the issue that has erupted is due to the Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti of Śani/ Shani/ Saturn and Rāhu/ Rahu to the exalted Sun and Mars. The corruption and scandalous practices being followed in some of the higher echelons have come to light due to the opposition of Sun and Saturn along with Rāhu.

When this news broke the harbinger of news,  the transit Moon/ Gochara Cañdra/ Chandra was in Dhanuṣa Rāśi/ Dhanusha Rashi/ Sagittarius which being the Mūlatṛkoṇa Rāśi/ Moolatrikona Rashi of Gurū/ Guru/ Jupiter which governs lawyers and the judiciary and the Courts, as well as the law in general. Śani/ Shani/ Saturn is aspecting the transit Moon with Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti/ planetary aspect from Libra/ Tulā/ Tula which is the Rashi governing corporate houses and businesses.

The astrology of the event is quite telling, is it not.

A BRIEF LOOK AT THE TWELVE LAGNAS/ ASCENDANTS IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY

People are often curious at the beginning of their astrological quest, to know something of the various facets pertaining to their ‘chart’; in other words, they wish to evaluate the basic propensities pertaining to their Lagnas and their Rashi/ Lagna Kundalis (Kundalis). Also, the Chandra Lagna itself and Gochar furnish other popular areas of curiosity. Lagna is the sign rising on the Eastern horizon at the time of birth and is occupied by a Rāśi (Rashi)/ Vedic sign. The average duration of a sign rising in the Lagna/ Ascendant is two hours and for this reason the twelve Rāśis cover the twenty-four hours duration of the solar day. ( Basic Jyotiṣa principles can be accessed by clicking this link ) Lagna imbues a person with individuality and therefore denotes the self and the personality of the person. It is the first house or Bhāva of the chart and is the commencement point of any horoscopic study. We cannot forget that in all the divisional charts as well there is a Lagna/...

Vedic Astrology: The Charakaraka Replacement and Its Impact

At its deepest core Jyotiṣa is at the driving centre of all Karma. Just like life, if properly appreciated as it must, it has the status of a full-scale on-going project of immense magnitude. Karma and Soul : The Lagna and the Bhavas reckoned from the Lagna in the Rāśi Chakra indicate the physical manifestation of life. In the Varga Chakra the Lagna and the Bhāvas indicate the personality and realities of that specific environment. When we speak of Karma we inevitably speak of the soul as it is the soul which must carry and exhaust the Karma through rebirth. Charakāraka - Matters pertaining to the soul are studied and deciphered through the Charakāraka in Vedic Astrology. The Charakāraka are the temporal significators (Naisargika Kāraka) for various matters at the level of the soul and the Karma. The Charakāraka are decided on the basis of longitude of arc traversed by the planets including minutes and seconds of arc, and sometimes fractions of seconds of arc. The Eight Cha...

Transits of Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu in 2025 in Vedic Astrology

Spring and summer of 2025 will be marked by notable shifts in transit of the slow-moving planets, Guru, Shani and Rahu-Ketu.  Important transits have the capacity to modify the results of the Dasha. In Vedic astrology/ Jyotisha, therefore, the two phenomena have to be examined together.  Jupiter/ Guru will move to Mithuna Rashi/ Gemini on May 14, 2025 and immediately thereafter the Nodes of the Moon, Rahu and Ketu also transit to Kumbha/ Aquarius and Simha/ Leo respectively. Shani/ Saturn will move to Meena Rashi/ Pisces on March 29, 2025.  Broadly speaking, in highly beneficial Dashas, positive transits lead to an icing on the cake situation, while negative transits can dampen the results or even negate them for a while. The effect can be construed accordingly for adverse Dashas, and so on.  It is well-known that Shani is the only Graha who gives added difficulties when He is strong. But a weak malefic is not to be desired because He becomes far more malefic. In oth...
