Arvind Kejriwal's Resignation & the 49 days' stint of the AAP-Dynamics of Vedic Astrology

Arvind Kejriwal has tendered his resignation as the Chief Minister of Delhi and the 49 days' stint of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in power has come to an end. The transit chart at the time of the resignation reveals that Śani/ Shani is aspecting the Moon in Cancer as the feeling of mass discontent (Saturn) pervades the people (Moon). The Moon was also hurtling towards the Gaṅdāṅta/ Gandanta, the junctional region between Cancer and Leo pointing at issues relating to vulnerabilities in governance (Leo/ Simha Rāśi/ Rashi).

At this website we had evaluated the true populist nature of the campaign and political manifesto with the transit conjunction of Rāhu and Śani (Rahu and Shani) and concluded that piece with words full of foreboding "Sadness accrues." This article may be read here - http://planetarytransformation.blogspot.in/2014/01/aam-aadmi-party-aap-arvind-kejriwal-and.html

Even this resignation is part of a political strategy and not really a reaction to any other development in particular since the tenure of the AAP in power has spanned 49 days and is governed by Rāhu/ Rahu based on Vedic numerology (the numeral 4).

Other frailties brought about by an intervening Parivartana Yoga between Śani/ Shani/ Saturn and Venus/ Śukra and its impact on the fortunes of the AAP have also been described in this paper on the website, written previously - http://planetarytransformation.blogspot.in/2013/12/venus-in-capricorn-in-exchange-with.html

We can see that simply from viewing the Gochara of Grahas properly, we can decipher such minute details about political existence, strategy and outcomes such as the ones under discussion.

At the time this paper is being written, Cañdra/ Chandra/ the Moon is transiting Simha Rashi and Maghā Nakṣatra/ Magha Nakshatra symbolised by the royal palanquin. The real nature of governance is very different from riding on the shoulders of public discontent and problems faced by the common man.

We must appreciate that those exploiting the great malefic Saturn (Shani), read common man, for political advancement must be ready for the displeasure of the planet (Saturn aspecting Moon-Jala/ water) from not delivering on the promise of water. The issues have come to pricing and targeting rich businessmen (Budha/ Mercury) and a perceived blocking of the Lokpal/ Ombudsman.

The indubitable reality of corruption and systemic rot does not mean destroying those systems rather than improving them and claiming oneself to be an anarchist. Yes, we have been burdened with onerous costs which will accrue qua another election but I feel we have been spared a descent into pathetic nothingness with the mob threatening life and property.

All this has been visible to me in the past as reflected in the articles linked in this paper above but then spare a thought for the forthcoming transit of Jupiter/ Gurū/ Guru to its exaltation in Cancer/ Karkaṭa/ Karkata, Rāhu/ Rahu to its Mūlatṛkoṇa/ Moolatrikona in Virgo/ Kanyā Rāśi/ Kanya Rashi and of course the transit of Saturn to Scorpio/ Vṛṣcika Rāśi/ Vrishchika Rashi, all in 2014. Spare a thought and I will be writing about all this and more in due course.

A BRIEF LOOK AT THE TWELVE LAGNAS/ ASCENDANTS IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY

People are often curious at the beginning of their astrological quest, to know something of the various facets pertaining to their ‘chart’; in other words, they wish to evaluate the basic propensities pertaining to their Lagnas and their Rashi/ Lagna Kundalis (Kundalis). Also, the Chandra Lagna itself and Gochar furnish other popular areas of curiosity. Lagna is the sign rising on the Eastern horizon at the time of birth and is occupied by a Rāśi (Rashi)/ Vedic sign. The average duration of a sign rising in the Lagna/ Ascendant is two hours and for this reason the twelve Rāśis cover the twenty-four hours duration of the solar day. ( Basic Jyotiṣa principles can be accessed by clicking this link ) Lagna imbues a person with individuality and therefore denotes the self and the personality of the person. It is the first house or Bhāva of the chart and is the commencement point of any horoscopic study. We cannot forget that in all the divisional charts as well there is a Lagna/ asc

Yanavanta/ Annapurna/ Vahana Yoga of Venus and Moon in Scorpio-8th October, 2013

The Yānavaṅta/ Yanavanta/ Annapūrṇā/ Annapurna/ Vāhana/ Vahana Yoga is formed when Venus and Moon/ Śukra and Cañdra/ Shukra and Chandra associate to form a Yoga in the Vedic horoscope; by Vedic horoscope is meant the Rāśi Cakra/ Rashi Chakra and the Varga Chakra as well, the latter being the divisional charts governing specific areas of life such as marriage (Navāmśa/ Navamsha), career (Daśāmśa/ Dashamsha), children (Saptāmśa/ Saptamsha), parents and elders (Dwādaśāmśa/ Dwadashamsha), comforts and luxuries (Ṣodaśāmśa/ Shodashamsha), spirituality and worship (Vimśāmśa/ Vimshamsha), education (Siddhāmśa/ Siddhamsha) etc. Let us consider the immediate meanings of the various terms used to indicate the Yoga formed due to the association of Venus and the Moon. The term Yānavaṅta/ Yanavanta indicates the charioteer or one guiding the vehicle of humanity or a group or individuals. It indicates leadership and the capacity to show the way to the multitudes and to guide and mould their live

A METHODOLOGY FOR VEDIC CHART INTERPRETATION

The following is an attempt to lay down a general method to conduct professional chart analysis. It appears to have worked well for the author in his practice. Notably though, it need not be the best way to interpret charts and the astrologer must find her own way when it comes to developing a structure with which to unravel any given chart. Some of the more general features of interpretation are being omitted for fear of the paper becoming unwieldy but certain crucial aspects of Jyotish interpretation are being explained since these are not very widely used. The author is indebted to the works of Pt. Sanjay Rath, author, scholar and Jyotish Guru of Sri Jagannath Center. It is through assimilating the writings of Pt. Rath that the author has been able to progress from the fundamentals of Jyotish to a somewhat deeper understanding. ARUDHA PADAS: The houses as reckoned from the Lagna/ Ascendant reveal the truth about the native. This is metaphysical reality as distinguished from precipit
