Work and Practicalities-Moon in Virgo/ Cañdra in Kanyā Rāśi/ Chandra in Kanya Rashi-16th to 18th June, 2013

The royal solitude has come to an end and the Moon has come to Mercurial Virgo on the evening of 16th June, 2013. Cañdra/ Chandra in Kanyā Rāśi/ Kanya Rashi indicates a social and mental focus on work.  For the fortunate it will be work for reward or in this day and age it could well be just mindless slogging. Needless to say, the latter is hardly desirable but then must be endured at times, depending on the Karmā.

The lunar ingress chart for the Virgo transit is given below for reference-

There are no planetary aspects on the Moon in Kanya Lagna (to be used interchangeably with Rāśi/ Rashi in the absence of any specific Udaya Lagna/ Ascendants sign being used here) but there is the Rāśi Dṛṣṭi/ Rashi Drishti of four Grahas from Mithuna Lagna/ Rāśi/ Rashi.

Sign aspects/ Rāśi Dṛṣṭi/ sign aspects indicate deterministic influences rooted in awareness and therefore the context is Mercurial as both Mithuna and Kanyā/ Kanya are ruled by Budha/ Mercury. Communications and information, pragmatism and routine, getting the job done will be the core determinants for the inputs to the mind during this transit.

However, the great benefic party in Gemini furnishes us all with the necessary knowledge and brilliance to shape our work accordingly. Jupiter gives knowledge of the secret arts and spirituality, higher thought and philosophy in general while Venus imparts the awareness of the way things are in various directions in life-management, corporate working, technology, and Mercury takes all this knowledge and infused with the increasing strength of the Saṅkrāṅti/ Sankranti Sun becomes adept and expert at assimilating everything.

All this in turn impacts Virgo.  The weekend is long over. Get busy.

Debilitated Moon in Scorpio on 11th September, 2013

The Moon gets out of the terrible company it had been keeping in Libra with Saturn and Rāhu/ Rahu and the gaze of Mars. The Rāhu/ Rahu-Ketu axis brings Karmic events to fruition and whatever would have transpired during the sojourn of the Moon in Libra would have been Karmic and wealth oriented, as stated in the relevant paper.

However, now the Moon moves to Scorpio/ Vṛṣcika/ Vrishchika Rāśi/ Rashi, which being the 8th House of the natural zodiac carries and harbours Karma within it. Scorpio and its Karmic depths are simply too deep for the gentle Moon to traverse.

Moon is about flow and participation and comprises one half of royalty and it feels like dying in the 8th House which is the Maraṇa Kāraka Sthāna/ Marana Karaka Sthana for it. There is no flow, no speed and no participation in the 8th House. It is like a quagmire of Karma.

The planetary position for this transit marked by the placement of the Moon in Scorpio is given below-

Rāhu/ Rahu also aspects the Moon with its special aspect from Tulā Rāśi/ Tula Rashi/ Libra and the mind will be tested with this double whammy of sorts. The mutuality of aspect between Jupiter and Rāhu/ Rahu makes for a sharing of influences. Guru will take away some of the malfeasance of Rahu but the distant Rāhu/ Rahu will not be able to rob the beneficence of Jupiter.

Sun and Mercury continue in strength and the results one gets will be based on the Karma unfolding in the natal horoscope. In such situations the Tithi Pravesha Chakra is also quite important because it clearly shows the emotional and societal flux at any given time in the year.

Moon in Capricorn/ Cañdra in Makara Rāśi / Chandra in Makara Rashi on 22nd July, 2013

The transit Moon enters Makara Rāśi/ Rashi on 22nd July, 2013 and it is a full Moon/ Pūrṇa Cañdra since Ravi is in the 7th Bhāva from Makara Rāśi in Karkaṭa Rāśi/ Karkata Rashi. This is also the auspicious occasion of Gurū Pūrṇimā/ Guru Purnima.

Capricorn is a sign of hard practicality and work will reign supreme. Capricorn is ruled by Śani/ Shani/ Saturn and no matter what the Lagna or the rising sign in the nativity, the quality of Capricorn is always work. This is hard work involving fatigue but the full Moon on Pūrṇimā Tithi ensures that the mind enjoys this. There is a lot of fire in the mind too due to two Agni Grahas Sūrya and Maṅgala/ Surya and Mangala influencing the Moon in transit with their Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti/ planetary aspects.

Work will become a far more dominant theme for those who have Capricorn in one of the working or career houses in the natal horoscope. Protective instincts will be on a high as would be pride, awareness of the social circle, family, emotions and the like.

Transits in Vedic astrology, as I often write are going to precipitate results based on the Karma in the natal horoscope, the level of personal growth in this incarnation, and the multifarious astrological influences operating in the nativity with reference to the Udaya Lagna/ ascendant and other Lagna or reference points.

For transit papers to be meaningfully applied to the Hindu horoscope, one must be privy to the quality of Karma manifesting, including in the divisional charts/ Varga Chakras. It is for this reason that one advises readers to study the variants of professional consulting on offer, descriptions of which may profitably be read at-

Vedic/ Indian Astrology Daily Horoscope Predictions for 29th April to 1st May, 2013 (Free and Complimentary)

29th April- 1st May, 2013-

Rāśi/ Rashi predictions based on the Hindi/ Saṅskṛt (Sankskrit) names of the Rashis are also referred to as Rāśi Bhaviṣya/ Rashi Bhavishya which can be translated as the future determined on the basis of transits.
The important features are that the Moon has recovered from its immediate eclipse and consequent debility and has crossed an important threshold of the Gaṅdāṅta/ Gandanta. Mercury has done the same. It too has transcended its debility and come to action from utter stillness which is against its nature. It too had cross the Gaṅdāṅta/ Gandanta which is an important threshold for matters cognitive and for rationality and commerce in general.

While Mercury has come to the dynamic Aries/ Meṣa/ Mesha, Moon has gone to Dhanuṣa Rāśi/ Dhanusha Rashi/ Sagittarius which is the field of play of Jupiter/ Gurū/ Guru. This is a vastly different scenario from what has been prevailing till recently. Mercury in Aries will give some cutting edge (Meṣa/ Mesha/ Aries) technology (Budha). As Mercury traverses greater degrees the associations of the planet and the sign shall have greater play.

Very useful technological inputs can come your way and since the transit happens after the lunar eclipse and also after the debilitation of the planet Mercury, there can be important occurrences here. It all depends whether things transpire.  We should also not forget the impact of Saturn on the Moon through its 3rd House Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti/ planetary aspect. This will work the mind so much that it will end up being fatigued.

Vedic/ Indian Astrology Daily Horoscope Predictions for 1st to 3rd May, 2013 (Free and Complimentary)

1st-3rd May, 2013-

In this segment of the Rāśi Bhaviṣya/ Rashi Bhavishya or daily Vedic horoscope predictions rendered primarily based on the sign movement of the Moon we note that Cañdra/ Chandra/ the Moon comes out of the 3rd House aspect of Śani/ Shani/ Saturn which had been pressuring the mind. While the Moon is in Makara Rāśi/ Rashi/ Capricorn and the work ethic and performance in the work sphere will be paramount, at least the pressures are not coming to bear on the mind as they were  in Sagittarius.  The substratum of something and active influences on something are two entirely different things.

As an aside is it not interesting that 'Mayday' is used as a distress call and also to indicate Labour Day on May 1. Both distress and labour are governed by the planet Saturn/ Śani/ Shani which goes on to show that there is nothing beyond Jyotiṣa when it comes to understanding life, whether in its mundane or other facets.

Jupiter once again aspects the transit Moon in the 9th House from its own station and this is the Jñāna Dṛṣṭi/ Gyāna Drishṭi of Gurū/ Guru/ Jupiter even though it is to its debilitation sign or the Nīca/ Neecha Rāśi/ Rashi.  Thursday is one of the intervening days for this transit of the Moon and those with a dominant Jupiter or the Gurū Mahādaśā (Mahadasha) running in the Vimśottarī Daśā/ Vimshottari Dasha scheme would be well advised to look for indications and guidance from the greatest benefic.

Vedic/ Indian Astrology Daily Horoscope Predictions for 3th to 5th May, 2013 (Free and Complimentary)

3rd May-5th May,  2013-

The transit for these couple of days reveals that the Moon will move to Kumbha/ Aquarius at about 2:30 PM on Friday. The Moon reiterates the Gajakeśarī Yoga being in the 10th House from Gurū/ Guru/ Jupiter. The fixed/ Sthira Lagnas will especially feel the beneficial power of this combination as it occurs in the Kendra Bhāva/ Bhava from the Lagna/ ascendant.

We should not forget the aspect of Rāhu/ Rahu to the Moon though because Rāhu's propensity to breed discontent and anxiety is well known when aspecting the Moon especially in Aquarius-there can be issues related to perceived problems in fulfilment of objectives. Through its 9th House aspect Rāhu/ Rahu may put the focus on foreign lands and research and give unusual experiences in the realm of gains, income, money, friends and in the thought processes relating to ambitions and their fulfilment. The more specific impact will of course depend on each individual horoscopic configuration.

Vedic/ Indian Astrology Daily Horoscope Predictions for 6th to 8th May, 2013 (Free and Complimentary)

6th May-8th May, 2013-

As Venus strengthens its motion and advances into Taurus/ Vṛṣabha/ Vrishabha, Cañdra/ Chandra/ the Moon has moved into the watery Mīna/ Meena/ Pisces. Here the Moon does not receive any aspects, that is the special aspects/ Viṣeṣa Dṛsṭi/ Vishesha Drishti from any of the other Grahas. In fact there are no aspects whatsoever and so the mind will dive into the ocean and try and look for meaning. The Moon here is dreamy and receptive.

There can be a sense of release and breaking free of the shackles during this transit due to the nature of the sign but ironically this sign also indicates opposite pulls and thus is directly indicative of bondage. These tendencies have to be reconciled and transcended.  That is the task of this Pisces Moon.

Vedic/ Indian Astrology Daily Horoscope Predictions for 8th to 10th May, 2013 (Free and Complimentary)

8th May-10th May, 2013-

Our experience with the unaspected Moon in Pisces brings to the fore the foundational dynamic of the Kemadruma Yoga where there are no planets either joined the Moon or in the Keṅdras/ Kendras/ quadrants from the Moon. The Moon is gentle and mirroring and needs the influences of other Grahas. Cañdra/ Chandra in Mīna/ Meena/ Pisces has been emotional and connected but not too active otherwise.

The Moon moves into Aries and joins the exalted Sun and the Mūlatṛkoṇa/ Moolatrikona Mangala. The quietude gives way to action and initiative. What was not happening, happens suddenly, with alacrity.

Fire rages in the mind and in the head.  Fire can burn and if something is outgrown then it is best to weed it out. Do not throw out the baby with the bath water though.

There is a heavy polarisation of opposites in that the fiery Sun/ Ravi and Mars/ Mangala/  Maṅgala  are in Aries/ Meṣa/ Mesha-the impetuous beginning of things while the airy Saturn and Rahu are in Tulā/  Tula/ Libra and these naturally inimical planets are deadlocked in battle. The battle is between the Self and the urge to act and dominate one's own life on the one hand and the weight of Karmā/ Karma and work on the other. In flight or succumbing, that's the end result being fought for.

Generally speaking there is a Tithi Doṣa/  Dosha as well with Kṛṣṇa Pakṣa/ Krishna Paksha Chaturdaśī/ Chaturdashi leading to Kṛṣṇa Pakṣa Amāvasyā/ Amavasya. The concentration of five natural malefics on the Moon makes it a highly pressured time for the mind,  full of conflicting influences.

It will of course vary from person to person as to what the context is and how these influences are coming through to people.

Some younger people taking exams reported heightened anxiety during this transit which in some known horoscopes triggered natal combinations for anxiety and panic resulting from specific affliction to the Moon. Therapeutic advice was rendered keeping their ages in mind to help quell the emotional turmoil associated with the Tithi and the transit Moon. Many times the flux of events indicated by the Moon is altered in the mind only by malefic influence especially Vāyu/ Vayu Grahas and the task then is to tell the youngsters that how they are feeling in the mind right now might not have much to do with how they perform in the examinations which occur during a different Moon transit.

A logical student was asked  a rhetorical question as to whether he would prefer to feel good prior to the examination and suffer writing an ordinary paper or feel ordinary while preparing and then write a good paper. The student thereafter continued the studies in right earnest and with a lighter heart.

Vedic/ Indian Astrology Daily Horoscope Predictions for 10th to 12th May, 2013 (Free and Complimentary)

10th May-12th May, 2013-

People are now waiting for the transit Moon to move to its exaltation sign of Taurus/ Vṛṣabha/ Vrishabha and joins the two preceptors Gurū/ Guru/ Jupiter and Śukra/ Shukra/ Venus which will immediately lead to Vāhana/ Vahana Yoga and Gajakeśarī/ Gajakesari Yoga apart from the Dwi-Gurū Yoga which is already formed in the skies.

The theme of abundance indicates by the coming together of the two preceptors finds crystallising in the coming of the Moon to this sign and confirming the result. The transit Moon indicates where fructification is going to come.

All the changes and transformations being brought about by the eclipse will find their immediate answers in this period. The Moon blasted by the cruel and the ill-intentioned and tormented by fire,  cumulatively pure and vicious, finds solace in comfort and knowledge in Taurus and the mind will therefore be more at rest.  It is often a balance between 'This too shall pass' and 'Don't let the impulse go to waste' and one has to pick and choose. There is nothing in life apart from the sheer magic of Vedic astrology to help one choose from propositions like this; everything else appears to be either a gimmick or a domain specific strategy which may or may not deliver.

The transit chart at the time of the entry of the Moon into Taurus looks something like this-

By 6:00 PM on 10th May, 2013, consulters have started reporting the advent of good news and a resolution of conflict that had arisen with the Moon in Aries in peaceful ways. Taurus is the exaltation of the Moon because it indicates both contentment and abundance. A consulter reported that very pleasant conversations had ensued with a member of the opposite sex because the consulter happens to have the Dārāpada/ Darapada/ A7-the Āruḍha/ Arudha Pada of the 7th House in this sign. This is generally a good place to have the A7 and this consulter felt especially good because they have been going through Kārmic times where members of the opposite sex have not brought much happiness. (The Vāra/ Vara also had something to do with it since it is Friday, ruled by Venus which is of course joined the Moon in transit) It is feedback like this which makes transit work rewarding especially when the natal Karmā/ Karma has been well-evaluated through elaborate and highly personalised life-readings such as the Detailed Chart Analysis.

Readers can also legitimately expect food of choice during this Cañdra/ Chandra Gochara-transit of the Moon-because Vṛṣabha/ Vrishabha/Taurus is the 2nd Bhāva/ Bhava of the natural zodiac and rules ingestion of food; equally Moon governs all foodstuffs. Its exaltation in Taurus can make for days where the time permits having food of one's choice rather than simply eating whatever is put on the table. However, we can ignore minutiae or major facets in Jyotiṣa/ Jyotisha only at our own peril. Vāhana/Vahana Yoga formed by Śukra/ Shukra and Cañdra/ Chandra may be auspicious for wealth and comforts but it also forms Rudra Yoga and Śiva/ Shiva as Rudra can make us cry. Be forewarned of this.

Also, while I would not like to put a dampener on peoples' feelings who might be enjoying the more positive aspects of this lunar transit, some people living through and burning heavy Karmā/ Karma have reported the serious consequences of the spanner-in-the-works Rāśi Dṛṣṭi/ Rashi Drishti/ sign aspect of Śani/ Shani and Rāhu/ Rahu from Tulā/ Tula/ Libra. A servant could spoil things due to his Karma or someone afflicted with Śrāddha Doṣa/ Shraddha Dosha or problems associated with departed spirits/ Preta Bādhaka/ Badhaka could resent this benefic transit and bring sadness and exclusion and experiences of the unwanted and unwarranted and weird. Choose the benefics which are also there-invoke them and try to extract as much as you can-that is all there is.

Things become vastly better as Cañdra/ Chandra/ the Moon attains exalted Navāmśa/ Navamsha in Taurus/ Vṛṣabha/ Vrishabha indicating the importance of Varga transits-this occurs around 10:30 PM on 11th May, 2013.

Vedic Astology Lagna/ Rāśi/ Rashi Transit for 31st July, 2013 to 2nd August, 2013

The Moon travels to Taurus Lagna and/ or Rāśi/ Rashi as the case may be. Cañdra/ Chandra is exalted Uchcha in Vṛṣabha Rāśi/ Vrishabha Rashi and this is its Mūlatṛkoṇa Rāśi/ Moolatrikona Rashi as well.

Taurus is the treasure house in the zodiac, an area of beauty, strength, abundance and riches. Here the Moon does not receive any malefic aspects whatsoever and so depending on the Lagna and Rāśi/ Rashi in the natal horoscope, the effects of the exalted Moon will be felt. One may feel contentment or a sense of abundance or simply be in good cheer.

There will be increased social participation since the Moon is the Kāraka for society. There are some circumstantial and deterministic influences on the mind and family and these are brought by the Sun/ Sūrya on the one hand and Śani and Rāhu/ Shani and Rahu on the other.

A sense of personal power will be felt along with some extra thoughts in matters of personal interaction which will be buffeted by the winds as if were.

It is in perspective that the transit chart or the Gochara Chakra is extracted below for the 31st of July, 2013 to the 2nd of August, 2013-

Repressed Anger and Complusive Work-Moon in Cancer/ Chandra in Karka Rashi on 1st September, 2013

During the Moon transit in Cancer/ Cañdra in Karkaṭa/ Chandra in Karkata Rashi, there is repressed anger and/ or issues with the drive and aspiration of people due to the Nīca/ Neecha Avasthā/ Avastha/ debilitation of Mars/ Maṅgala/ Mangala/ Kuja.

Saturn's aspect to the transit Moon also acts as a force of compulsion, prompting an otherwise sated mind to work and action and that too work and action which is necessary in some way, compulsory, from which there can be no reprieve.

This state of affairs is depicted by the transit chart in Vedic astrology which is given below for reference and perusal-

A transit cancellation of the debilitation of the planet Mars is also happening since Cañdra/ Chandra/ the Moon is the lord of the sign of debilitation of Maṅgala/ Mangala/Kuja/ Mars. This basically means that the lack of drive, fire and ambition which is happening due to the debilitation of the planet Mars is being cured and alleviated by healthy and rested emotion, connection with people, moving in social circles, opportunity and participation etc. Saturn is also contributing to this being in the 4th Bhāva/ Bhava from the Gochara Chandra. Therefore the debilitation of the planet Mars is doubly cancelled by Saturn and Moon in transit for the duration of the Moon transit in Cancer.
This occurs irrespective of the Lagna which may be rising in the Rāśi Cakra/ Rashi Chakra at the time of birth.

Another characteristic of this set of Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti/ planetary aspect is that the driving and compulsion of Saturn is actually the desire in all of us to secure for ourselves fine lodging and a measure of comfort and social security. It is a quite guided and focussed aspiration and hence the sincere striving in pursuance thereof.
Passions may also come to the forefront but in less then obvious ways because the Cañdra-Maṅgala Yoga/ Chandra-Mangala Yoga which also goes by the name of Śaśi-Maṅgala/ Shashi-Mangala Yoga furthers heightened emotion and the flux of wealth and money. Money might change hands in an atmosphere of lack of strength where one with prowess is called upon to salvage matters.
The Śubha-Kartarī/ Shubha-Kartari Yoga formed by Gurū/ Guru and Budha on the Moon ensures that all that begins well ends well, setting the tone for some new experiences.

Daily Vedic/ Hindu/ Indian Transit Horoscope Predictions for 4th June to 6th June, 2013-Moon in Aries/ Cañdra in Meṣa/ Chandra in Mesha

Vedic/ Hindu/ Indian astrology or Jyotiṣa/ Jyotisha considers the Moon/ Cañdra/ Chandra of major significance based on the dictum 'Cañdramā/ Chandrama Manaso Jātakaḥ' meaning that the Moon is the Mind of the human being. Śrī/ Shri Kṛṣṇa/ Krishna in the Śrīmad Bhagwad Gītā/ Shrimad Bhagwad Gita has said the body is the  chariot, the senses are the horses pulling the chariot and the Mind is the charioteer. For this reason it is imperative for the Vedic Astrologer to always remember the significance of the Moon.

Therefore quite apart from focusing on the Cañdra/ Chandra Lagna/ Moon ascendant sign or the Jañma Rāśi (Janma Rashi) in the natal Vedic/ sidereal horoscope for predictions, the Vedic Astrologer always gives special importance to the Moon transits.

This exercise for judging the results of the transits is also called the Rāśi Bhaviṣya/ Rashi Bhavishya/ which is the Hindi Rashi equivalent expression of judging results based on the transits.

The transit/ Gochara Vedic chart for the entry of the Moon into Aries/ Meṣa/ Mesha on 4th June, 2013 is given below-

The Moon is  going to be in the throes of activity being in Aries/ Mesha/ Meṣa ruled by Maṅgala/ Mangala/ Mars. Also it is joined Ketu indicating a Grahaṇa/ Grahana or eclipse Yoga. There is direct Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti or planetary aspect of both Śani/ Shani/ Saturn and Rāhu/ Rahu, both dire malefics.

There will be  too much thought and too much speculation during this transit and the Moon is far too vulnerable. The positive which has recently accrued is the 5th House aspect of Jupiter from Gemini which will tone down the malefic occupation of Tulā Rāśi/ Tula Rashi/ Libra. The way out is in wise and sage advice and communication which can be tremendous in its width and can reveal the higher reason behind the placement of Saturn and Rahu in Libra in part due to the conjunction of Venus and Mercury with Jupiter. Keep this in mind.

In this context it is important to note that we have recently covered the transits of various planets and the resultant potency of the Kārmic energies in various signs/ Rāśis/ Rashis and Lagnas/ ascendant signs. For instance the preceding transit of Venus/ Śukra/ Shukra to Vṛṣabha/ Vrishabha Rāśi/ Rashi was covered in-

The resultant impact on Taurus and also the consequent impact of Taurus/ Vṛṣabha on the other Rāśis/ Rashis and Lagnas/ ascendants signs was in turn reflected upon in

Thereafter the great Jupiter/ Gurū/ Guru transited to Gemini/ Mithuna Rāśi/ Rashi on 31st May, 2013 and this aspect was covered in the post-

Thereafter the benefics Budha/ Mercury, Śukra/ Shukra/ Venus and Gurū/ Guru have all gathered in Mithuna Rāśi which prompted us to review the resultant quality of life for you through the month of June, 2013 in

Therefore it is quite clear that on this website we are regularly attempting to derive a picture based on the transits even though at the risk of repetition we must state that Karmā only properly reveals itself for any human being through astute personalised work which can be carried out in many ways-

Transit Vedic Moon in Sagittarius on 16th August, 2013: From depression to optimism

The mind has been in a sad shape during the transit of the Moon both in Libra/ Tulā Rāśi/ Tula Rashi and in Scorpio/ Vṛṣcika/ Vrishchika where in the latter sign it was Nīca/ debilitated. In Libra, buffeted by forces and in Scorpio, fallen with the Hangman's Noose around its neck.

On the night of 16th of August, 2013 the mind traverses radically different surrounds and also must traverse a junction of water and fire-the Gaṅdāṅta/ Gandanta. The realm of Sagittarius/ Dhanuṣa Rāśi/ Dhanusha Rashi is ruled by the greatest benefic Jupiter/ Gurū/ Guru and is a sign of optimism and action.

The transit of Cañdra/ Chandra through Dhanuṣa Rāśi/ Dhanusha Rashi on 16th August, 2013 looks like this-

Sagittarius is the 9th House of the natural zodiac and corresponds to faith, religion, temples, law, higher education and the element of luck and fortune. The theme is of growth and expansion. Jupiter/ Gurū/ Guru aspects the Moon from Gemini/ Mithuna Rāśi/ Rashi and so does Mars.
The Moon also aspects the two planets and therefore the mind will desire to communicate, gather information and cultivate expression based on wisdom and understanding and its forthright manifestation. Wealth and money will also come into focus due to the Śaśi-Maṅgala/ Shashi-Mangala Yoga and fame and accolades will ensue due to the Gajakeśarī/ Gajakesari Yoga.
There is Śani/ Shani/ Saturn's 3rd House aspect on the Moon as well and there will a lot of contemplation about work and work obligations as well.

What is your Karmic location-Moon in Cancer During 11th to 13th of June, 2013/ Cañdra in Karkaṭa Rāśi/ Chandra in Karkata Rashi

The Moon posits itself in Cancer on the night of 11th June, 2013 in this segment of the Hindu horoscope transit studies of the Rāśi Bhaviṣya/ Rashi Bhavishya. Cancer, is of course Karkaṭa/ Karka Rāśi/ Rashi in Hindi and Saṅskṛt.

When the Vedic astrologer looks at the entry chart for the Moon in Cancer late on 11th June, 1973 it looks as follows-

Though the Moon is un-conjoined in Cancer, the experience due to the Lattā/ Latta or kick of Śani/ Shani/ Saturn will reveal whether your Karma is such that you feel a negative import of the transit or not. One appreciates that the dictum is not lucid and not capable to ready comprehension.  But dwell on this.

The counter is that huge blessings are accruing through Mithuna where the benefic Grahas are congregating and so one must figure out through experience where one stands in Karma at this time.

If it is work and putting in what the cosmos should want through your Karma, without more, consider yourself blessed. Otherwise, the aspect of Śani will stress the mind. Engage in scholarly activities and matters pertaining to the home. Moon will be in its own sign and care and home comforts, and sorting out long standing issues will be important.

You can use this transit to take care of matters of practical importance which once done would lead to comforts and emotional contentment. The world must be let in and the constraints of worldly life must have their say as well. These are the important things for these two days while the Moon is in Cancer.

Vedic/ Hindu/ Indian Astrology Daily Horoscope Predictions for 20th May to 22nd May, 2013

Feeling good and illuminated? As if you know what you are about?  This is the knowledge and wisdom and niceness of Jupiter/  Guru which is aspecting the transit Moon in Virgo/  Kanya Rashi (read influencing).  Virgo is an exacting perfectionist domain and Jupiter’s sheer knowledge of how things work is an excellent influence on the mind.
The transit chart for the Moon in Virgo aspected by Jupiter is extracted below for reference-

Virgo/  Kanyā/ Kanya Lagna or Rāśi is an Earth sign ruled by Mercury and therefore addresses practical matters which are associated with wealth generation. Jupiter ruled wealth and so money-making and professional work to do with information sifting and rationale in general will come to the fore.

This will be a time when people are quite aware that the events that are transpiring can help them augment their income and financial well-being and this is an auspicious sign if the higher aspects of the teachings of the planet Jupiter are applied to the field of play indicated by Virgo.
Jupiter aspects the transit Moon with its 5th House aspect and so what happens in these two days might hold indications for the future and this future will be based in knowledge of the field,  whatever it might be. This aspect also sheaths and protects the delicate mind.

Kanyā/ Kanya Lagna or Rāśi/ Rashi has an element of enticement to it, not for the other but for us and in order to keep this hedonistic enticement at bay and in check we need to have the sage guidance of Jupiter which ensures that we work with the right reference-frame. This is all very useful for the impressionable mind, of course.

Two Types of Advice-Moon in Aquarius/ Cañdra in Kumbha Rāśi/ Chandra in Kumbha Rashi During 27th to 29th of June, 2013

The transit Moon/ Cañdra/ Chandra has moved to Aquarius/ Kumbha Rāśi/ Rashi on the 27th of June, 2013. Here it moves into the psychedelic and expanded domains where boundaries are blurred and intoxicants abound.

The Gochara/ transit chart depicting the movement of the gentle luminary in Kumbha Rāśi/ Rashi or Lagna, depending on how the reader wishes to view it, in the North Indian Vedic/ Hindu/ Indian astrology diamond style is given below-

Now, Aquarius has a lot of width and consequently  a lot of scope for instruction. Active instruction during this transit of the Vedic Moon is coming primarily from two Grahas-Gurū/ Guru, the Preceptor of the Devas and Rāhu, the one who has taken up the cudgels for the opposite camp. Rather than unbridled forays into concentric worlds of thought and often delusion that Rāhu likes, engage more in thoughts that have the potential of embracing the world itself.
One may legitimately extend the scope of this sort of advice and inputs to foreigners and foreign countries rather than brilliantly justified Hedonism, which agenda might be pushed by the North Node of the Moon.  And how to do this? This is not difficult because the great Gurū aspects the transit Cañdra/ Chandra in Kumbha Lagna  with his 5th House aspect and all the brilliance of wisdom and its accurate communication to you are guaranteed.
This is guaranteed because the Naisargika Kāraka/ Karaka of communication-Budha/ Mercury has become retrograde in Mithuna Rāśi/ Rashi/ Gemini and is geared up to shine the rational intellect under the unparalleled tutelage of Jupiter: the planets Jupiter and Mercury are conjoined in Gemini.
This life is miraculous and we have access to diametrically polarised worlds. Often these are thrust upon us by Grahas that capture our heads. Revel in it but under the guidance of Jupiter. Which advisory model you lean towards is quite revealing about your Kārmic/ Karmic life station at this time.

Daily Vedic/ Hindu/ Indian Horoscope Predictions for 26th to 28th of May, 2013

How the previous prediction based on the transits turned out for people-

Our anticipation about the characteristics of the Moon transit in Scorpio have turned out to be well-founded with those fortunate enough to be associated with this eternal art reporting that the mind had indeed delved deep into the depth of Vṛṣcika Rāśi (Vrishchika Rashi/ Scorpio), the experience was not overwhelming due to the optimism of the promise of benefic planets in the 7th from the transit Moon, in Taurus/ Vṛṣabha/ Vrishabha-the sign of plenty and comforts. This preceding post for the Moon in Scorpio is here-

This transit, here and now-

Anyhow, this is all remembrance of things past and now the transit Moon has moved to Sagittarius the sign of eternal optimism, where the greatest benefic of the zodiac, Gurū/ Guru/ Jupiter goes to work. This is the sign of wisdom and Sanātana Dharma-that which does not change and furnished eternal truth. Truth, and the deepest metaphysical truth is the hallmark of Dhanuṣa Rāśi/ Dhanusha Rashi/ Sagittarius which arms itself with arrows of Jñana/ knowledge which destroy ignorance and disbelief and also actual physical warrior's arrows which stand tall to protect Dharma, even in the Kaliyuga. Hence the archer with the bow strung in this sign. All that is required is for an arrow to be placed on the bow. That is up to you. Do you wish to place the arrow of magical sight and perspective on this bow to forever change your life and the way you look at it!

The chart for the entry of the Moon into Dhanuṣa/ Dhanusha/ Sagittarius is given below for your reference-

Remember Rāhu/Rahu was instilling doubt in the mind while the latter grappled with Kārmic/ Karmic depths but now it is in a fire sign and this is the time to take initiative and act. The mind is the greatest impulse for action-use it. Now the Gaṅdāṅta/ Gandanta is also being crossed and soon the mind will be clear of the water-fire dichotomy for you to revel in the domain of Jupiter and to derive benefit from Brahmin advisors (read wise counsel in any walk of life), especially in education, finance, treasury, law, judiciary, astrology, spirituality, religion, physics, philosophy and other such signified areas of the planet Jupiter.

Things often merit a closer look-

When we look closely we see that the Moon or our mind is not free to simply enjoy the width, expansion, optimism and wisdom of Jupiter and Sagittarius. There are desires and forces at play.

1. Śani/ Shani/ Saturn aspects the Moon (influences the mind) with its huge 3rd house special aspect making the mind do more than its fair share of labour by contemplating how much more one can and do to ensure that one is where one wants to be;

2. Maṅgala/ Mangala/ Mars also aspects the Moon with its 8th House aspect infusing it with rage and aggression, for protection if well disposed, and for destruction if ill-disposed.

The gentle Moon gets overwhelmed when exposed to the diametrically opposed forces of Saturn and Mars all at once and thus the mental edginess.

Moon in Taurus/ Cañdra in Vṛṣabha/ Chandra in Vrishabha Rāśi/ Rashi on 6th June, 2013

The Rāśi Bhaviṣya/ Rashi Bhavishya or the daily Vedic astrology predictions ensuing from the Vedic/ Indian/ Hindu horoscope for the transits during 6th to 8th June, 2013 must take into account the movement of the Moon to Taurus, its sign of exaltation. The Vedic astrologer immediately notes that the transit Moon is rid of the Gochara affliction of its conjunction with Ketu in Meṣa Rāśi/ Mesha Rashi and the Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti-planetary aspect- of Śani and Rāhu/ Shani and Rahu from Tulā/ Tula Rāśi/ Rashi/ Libra.

Taurus is known as Vṛṣabha/ Vrishabha Rāśi/ Rashi in Hindi/ Devanāgarī/ Devanagari and the Saṅskṛt/ Sanskrit.

The transit chart for the entry of the Moon in Taurus on June 6, 2013 is given below-

Taurus indicates happy times for the mind since the gentle luminary is exalted here. Taurus/ Vṛṣabha Rāśi/ Vrishabha Rashi and Lagna/ Ascendant sign shows a field of play of luxury and abundance where the Moon is delighted. Taurus is ruled by Venus/ Śukra/ Shukra and indicates an abundance of luxury and the good things in life. It is the sign where there is wonderful food and strong hordes of assets.

Two Agni Tattwa Grahas/ fiery planets are here. The Sun and Mars are currently occupying Taurus-both the king and His Commander-in-Chief are here. This is not the time to pick a fight with Taurus/ Vṛṣabha/ Vrishabha Lagna. This Rāśi/ Rashi is symbolised by a bull which usually does not bother with its own strength but it is wise for others to give way to the bull. If you goad the bull or hurt his pride, be prepared for a reaction which is as yet unseen. Mars is here and is not entirely comfortable in these decadent settings. He is yearning for battle. Do not give him the chance. The Sun is at rest here, resplendent in abundance but if required he will give orders to Mars to get the army in order.

More common manifestations of this transit could indicate a turning of the tide for people who have Taurus/ Vṛṣabha/ Vrishabha rising or the sign is otherwise dominant for the Hindu horoscope by housing an important Lagna such as the Ārūḍha/ Arudha Lagna (AL) or the Jañma Rāśi/ Janma Rashi/ Cañdra Lagna/ Chandra Lagna.  This has some correlation with the Tithis/ the lunar date as well.

Something About Your Karma-Moon in Capricorn/ Cañdra in Makara Rāśi/ Chandra in Makara Rashi During 25th to 27th of June, 2013

The transit of Moon into Capricorn in Vedic Astrology brings focus to your work and Karma because Capricorn/ Makara Rāśi/Makara Rashi is the 10th House of the natural zodiac and indicates the Karma of the person. The Hindu horoscope for the transit/ Gochara of Cañdra/ Chandra into Makara Lagna is depicted below in the North Indian/ diamond style Lagna chart-

We see that there are no malefic influences on this transit Moon in Capricorn either by way of Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti/ planetary aspect or Rāśi Dṛṣṭi/ Rashi Drishti or sign aspect. Therefore the royal Moon is in Makara Rāśi/ Rashi alone and is traversing not just work but our very actions in all spheres and if you are going through Kārmic times with some Karmic Daśās/ Dashas operating in the radix, then this could indicate the way your Karma is headed.

Good experiences will show that the bad Karma is over and your actions have been such that now auspicious results might be expected or things could be otherwise. These determinations can only occur if you have been traversing spiritual realms for a long time/ and or watching your life and Karma very carefully.  Capricorn is also ruled by Śani/ Shani/ Saturn a major indicator of Karma that we have done and so also these findings are being recorded.

As I keep writing frequently, these core questions can only be answered once the natal horoscope is comprehensively examined which can be done in a variety of ways depending on your requirements. Some variants of professional consulting are discussed at- See this article for more illumination.

More generally the transit of the Moon in Makara Rāśi/ Rashi indicates our functional Karma, what we do on a day to day basis and due to the very strong mutual Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti of Moon and Venus (from Cancer/ Karkaṭa Rāśi/ Karkata Rashi). A strong Vāhana Yoga/ Vahana Yoga or Yānavaṅta Yoga/ Yanavanta Yoga is formed. Vehicles, luxuries, abundance, foods, liquidity will be foremost facets in the matters of the days governed by the transit. Budha/ Mercury prepares to transit out of Mithuna Rāśi/ Rashi to Karkaṭa Rāśi/ Karkata Rashi/ Cancer and is in Rāśi Saṅdhi/ Rashi Sandhi. So all of us might be required to put up with the website, iPad, phone, Internet connection snafus.

Exalted Moon/ Chandra in Taurus/ Vrishabha Rashi on 27th August, 2013

After the transit affliction of conjunction with Ketu in Aries and the Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti/ planetary aspect of Śani and Rāhu/ Shani and Rahu from Tulā Rāśi/ Tula Rashi/ Libra, the Moon is in unalloyed exaltation in Taurus/ Vrishabha/ Vṛṣabha Rāśi/ Rashi or Lagna.

This is also the occasion of Bhagwāna Śrī Kṛṣṇa Jaṅmāṣṭamī/ Bhagwana Shri Krishna Janmashtami. Śri Kṛṣṇa Avatāra/ Shri Krishna Avatāra was born in Taurus/Vṛṣabha/ Vrishabha Lagna with the exalted Moon in Lagna in Rohiṇī Nakṣatra/ Rohini Nakshatra which is reiterated by this transit. He is the Cañdra Avātāra/ Chandra Avatara and this is an excellent time to worship matters related to the Moon in the radix.

The Gochara Chakra/ transit chart for the entry of the Moon to Taurus is given below-

The Taurus Moon is exalted and in the sign which contains his favourite bride Rohiṇī/ Rohini-the red one. This sign and the placement of the Moon is known for pleasure and hedonism, wealth and passion and indulgence in the good things of life.
There are some higher and more sincere functions such as tapping into the mind of the populace and understanding the psychology of a set of persons which may be relevant for a particular circumstance.
This placement of transit of the Moon through Taurus is associated with elevated status and social participation.

Daily Vedic Astrology Predictions-Moon in Pisces/ Cañdra/ Chandra in Mīna/Meena Rāśi (Rashi) During 2nd-4th June, 2013

Moon moves to Pisces/ Mīna Rāśi/ Meena Rashi in the early hours of 2nd June, 2013 Indian Standard Time.

Mīna Rāśi/ Meena Rashi is the sign of the Ṛṣis/ Rishis, sign where things culminate and we find release. It is ruled by the greatest benefic Gurū/ Guru/ Jupiter and here the Moon is unaspected by any planet with planetary aspect or Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti.

This sign deals with peace and spiritual matters and learning of eternal truths. Purely from the transient standpoint, though, due to the fact that the Moon is not aspected, we find that the influences on the Moon will come from Jupiter, the lord of Pisces which also aspects the Moon with Rāśi Dṛṣṭi/ Rashi Drishti or the sign aspect along with Venus and  Mercury.

The transit chart for the entry of the Moon into Pisces is given below-

We can quite easily see that the sign influence of the three great benefics-Jupiter (Gurū), Venus (Śukra/ Shukra) and Mercury (Budha) to the Moon from the Mercurial Gemini/ Mithuna will lead to a lot of information and communications based human activity. The scope of these transits has been covered in my previous articles regarding the transit of Jupiter to Gemini on 31st May, 2013 at- and in my article about the quality of life of the people at large through the month of June, 2013 in

As I say often, transits are glimpses into propensities and actualities are derived always from the natal horoscope which is evaluated in great detail to discern the Karma one is born with. Description of some of the variants of analyses provided on this website may be found at-

Moon in Pisces/ Cañdra in Mīna Rāśi/ Chandra in Meena Rashi on 26th July, 2013

Pisces is the sign of emancipation and release and Mīna/ Meena Lagna in Vedic astrology is associated with the teachings of the seers/ Ṛṣis.

The transit Moon is traversing this sign. It is a dual and mutable Rāśi but is also partakes of the famous "pairs of opposites" which are to be transcended if final release or Mokṣa/ Moksha is to be had.

It is in part for this reason that Pisces Lagna has a dreamy look and disposition because they are embroiled in these opposites and have to surmount them. This requires contemplation. Meditation and associated activities such as sleep and long distance travel are also linked with Meena Rashi.

No Grahas are conjoining or aspecting the Gochara Chandra/ Gocara Cañdra with Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti or planetary sight/ aspect but three planets from the Mercurial Gemini/ Mithuna Rāśi/ Rashi are aspecting with Rāśi Dṛṣṭi/ Rashi Drishti/ sign aspect.

The transit chart for the sojourn of the Moon in Pisces during 26th to 28th of July, 2013 is reproduced below for reference-

Gurū/ Guru/ Jupiter, Budha/ Mercury and Mars/ Maṅgala/ Mangala aspect the transit Moon with Rāśi Dṛṣṭi/ Rashi Drishti bring to bear great resources of information and learning on the transit Moon. It is in this environment that the mind shall be working. A transit Gajakeśarī/ Gajakesari Yoga is formed as also a Cañdra-Maṅgala/ Chandra Mangala Yoga. Despite the fact that it is the weekend, these energies will be in abundance and  shall inform the emotions and social participation.

Vedic astrology transit for 28th to 30th of July,2013:Moon in Aries/ Cañdra in Meṣa Rāśi/ Chandra in Mesha Rashi

The transit Moon moves to Aries on the night of the 28th of July, 2013 and must traverse the Gaṅdāṅta/ Gandanta between Mīna Rāśi/ Meena Rashi/ Pisces and Meṣa Rāśi/ Mesha Rashi/ Aries. Some conflict and agitation in the mind can arise during this time.

As the Moon travels further into Aries, it finds Ketu awaiting and the Moon can get eclipsed since this is a Grahaṇa Yoga/ Grahana Yoga. Furthermore, there is Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti/ planetary aspect of Śani/ Shani/ Saturn and Rāhu, Rahu from Libra/ Tulā Rāśi/ Tula Rashi. There will be serious corporate and business influence on interaction and participation and this could extend to foreign lands due to the dominant role being played by the nodes of the Moon.

The transit chart is given below for your reference so that planets in the various signs and their aspects can be examined-

This can create the atmosphere for a good fight due to the fact that the transit Moon is moving through a sign of Mars, and that too the Mūlatṛkoṇa Rāśi/ Moolatrikona Rashi. Aries is the first sign of the natural zodiac and shows initiative and a little bristle to get what one wants. This is good for those in professions where this is required such as the police, armed forces, lawyers and the like.
Note-News came in later that during this transit a gruesome incident occurred at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi, India where a jilted lover (see the gross affliction to the sign of romantic love Tulā/ Tula/ Libra by Śani and Rāhu/ Shani and Rahu) tried to decapitate his romantic interest. The Nodes of the Moon, Rāhu/ Rahu and Ketu indicate decapitation since Rāhu is only a head severed from the body and Ketu is only a body severed from the head. Moon is joined Ketu in Meṣa Rāśi/ Mesha Rashi/ Aries and is aspected by Rāhu/ Rahu with Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti. A news report of this incident may be read at-

Rough and Tumble with the Vedic Moon in Aries on 25th August, 2013

Cañdra/ Chandra/ the Moon is in Aries joined Ketu on the 25th of August, 2013 and the theme of the moment is infra-red initiative. There is a lot of hustle and bustle.

Śani and Rāhu/ Shani and Rahu also aspect the transit Moon in Meṣa Rāśi/ Mesha Rashi making for the direct influence of three malefic planets on the mind in a malefic ambition-oriented sign.

The chart for the transit is given below-

Things emerge out of flux. With careful adherence to the influences on the mind and understanding why something is happening can go a long way in furthering perspective and enabling and efficacious navigation of the current Gochara.

Initiative, aggression, leadership and a heady mix of instinctive thought and careful, deliberate thinking will be in evidence. Ketu is headless and does not think cerebrally while Rāhu's strong aspect indicates planning and highly intellectual approach to things extending to the abstract. Saturn brings slow and deliberate approach to finances and such matters.

People should spend these couple of days recognising these forces at work.

A bouquet of blessings-Transit Moon in Gemini/ Gochara Chandra in Mithuna Rashi/ Gochar Cañdra in Mithuna Rāśi

On 6th July, 2013, the transit Moon moves to the Mercurial Gemini with a powerful and insistent Mercury transiting its own sign in great strength in retrogression. This is according to the sidereal zodiac in Vedic/ Hindu/ Indian astrology and intended to be used for one's Lagna or Rāśi/ Rashi chart.

The transit Moon is in fabulous company with the greatest benefic Jupiter/ Gurū/ Guru also posited there forming the transit Gajakeśarī Yoga/ Gajakesari Yoga which leads to fame and recognition primarily in the context of one's wisdom and learning and the communication thereof.

These planets are also joined the fiery combination of Sūrya/ the Sun and Mars and some trailblazing initiatives could be taken during this transit.

The transit chart or the Hindu horoscope is depicted below for ready reference-

The most impact should be felt for the people of mutable/ dual Lagna or Dwiswabhāva/ Dwidwabhava Rāśi/ Rashi where the circumstances would be very conducive for new and important matters relating to initiative, communications, speech, writing, short travels, articles, books, networking and so on.

Wealth, society and Pleasure-Moon & Mercury in Virgo and Venus in Libra on 6th September, 2013

On 6th September, 2013 several transits occur all at once in Vedic Astrology-Mercury/ Budha gets exalted in Virgo/ Kanyā Rāśi/ Kanya Rashi and Moon joins it in that sign. Perfection, work oriented communications, and a focus on reaping a rich harvest all show up.

The pleasure principle and the planet of beauty and aesthetics Venus/ Śukra/ Shukra also moves to its Mūlatṛkoṇa Rāśi/ Moolatrikona Rashi in Tulā Rāśi/ Tula Rashi/ Libra even though it is joined Saturn and Rāhu/ Rahu.

Saturn is also exalted in Libra enjoying the bounties of the corporate world and business environment where its hunger for wealth and abundance is met and the hard slog becomes focussed enterprise.

The transit chart showing this is given below-

The Sun, the giver of all resources is also strongly placed in its own Rāśi/ Rashi Simha/ Leo and Venus in Libra generates proximity to beauty, luxury items and the like. There is malefic influence on Venus though and these areas can be avoided.
Mars also aspects Venus with its 4th House aspect and continually triggers the passion and desire. Viewing this transit holistically this appears to be a driven, hedonistic time, characterised by personal power.
This is therefore a good time to venture forth and put some of those plans in action.

Full Moon in Aquarius on 20th August, 2013

Bright rays, corresponding thoughts and optimism pervade the mind since the Moon is in the sign of Kumbha/ Aquarius on 20th August, 2013.

The Sun has also finished the terrible Gaṅdāṅta Saṅkrāṅti/ Gandanta Sankaranti on the border of Cancer and Leo and has culminated in the festival of Rakṣā Baṅdhana/ Rakshabandhana.

The Sun is in the royal Leo/ Simha, its own sign and from terrible conflict at the elemental/ Tattwa level, it is now in its splendorous domain. People will be acting from a place of personal power especially if dominated by the Sun in some manner. This dominance can be worked out through the Lagna Chakra in Vedic astrology/ Jyotiṣa/ Jyotisha or through the Cañdra Rāśi (Jaṅma Rāśi)/ Chandra Rashi (Janma Rashi)-natal Moon- or indeed from any of the Viṣeṣa/ Vishesha Lagna such as the Ārūḍha/ Arudha or the Ghātikā etc. I have frequently pointed out that the Varga Chakra Lagna and the Vishesha Lagna have to be considered in this context as well.

The Moon is opposite in Kumbha Rāśi/ Kumbha Rashi and the planetary position is depicted by the chart below-

The Moon or the mind is replete with rays and the authority centre indicated by the Sun is also powerful and some of the tests of the preceding transits will pale into insignificance with this opposition of the Sun and Moon. This freedom of the mind and self is aided by the fact that all energies of the planets are forward directed since none of the planets are retrograde.
The full Moon is associated with a stage of emotional fulfilment and a state of mind where illumination pervades the thoughts and the cognizance. The rays that the Moon has is measured in terms of the Pakṣa/ Paksha Bala, lit. its position qua the Sun in a given fortnight. The further away it is from the Sun, the more illuminated and full of nectar it is supposed to be. This is an important though not the sole consideration for gauging the strength of the mind.
Venus and Mars are both Nīca/ Neecha or debilitated and the debility of Mars weakens and represses the fire in us and it Is capable of therefore erupting in an unnatural way. Our drive and belief in accomplishing things on planet Earth are governed by Maṅgala/ Mangala/ Mars and this may take something of a beating with the planet debilitated.
Mercury/ Budha also transits the Gaṅdāṅta/ Gandanta on the 21st of August, 2013 and enters Leo/ Simha to form the Nipuṇa/ Nipuna Yoga or the Budha-Āditya/ Aditya Yoga. Intelligence and dexterity will be dominant in people having Leo/ Simha as the dominant sign in the horoscope in any manner. This can be stated to be true for those with Sthira Lagna/ fixed sign rising in the horoscope.
Such a configuration of planets can be said to indicate a changing scenario and the nature, purport and quality of the change will depend on the Karma indicated in the horoscope.

Bliss at the Core-Moon in Sagittarius/ Cañdra in Dhanuṣa Rāśi/ Chandra in Dhanusha Rashi on 23rd to 25th of June, 2013

The transit Moon travels to sidereal Sagittarius on the 23rd of June, ending a spate of affliction by malefics in Libra and then debility in Scorpio in the Vedic/ Hindu/ Indian astrology horoscope. Sagittarius/ Dhanuṣa Rāśi/ Dhanusha rashi contains the Mūla Nakṣatra/ Mula Nakshatra. Mula means the root or the core and is indicative of central Karma in horoscopy.

The Rāśi/ Rashi position of Cañdra in Dhanuṣa Rāśi/ Chandra in Dhanusha Rashi on the 23rd of June, 2013 is given below-

We can immediately see the powerful aspects of the Paṅḍita/ Pandita Yoga from Mithuna Rāśi/ Rashi or Lagna as you may choose to view it. There is a major desire for deep, core wisdom of the Mūla Nakṣatra to work together with the information processing of Mithuna Rāśi and the brilliance of the Nipuṇa/ Nipuna Yoga.
Gurū's/ Guru's aspect is another thing altogether and this forms the celebrated Gajakeśarī/ Gajakesari Yoga showing that for those for whom auspicious Karma is at hand and has ripened and/ or bad Karma is in a state of abeyance and depletion, fame will come in leap and bounds for their acumen, brilliance and learning. Be pure of heart, such people, and you shall receive.
Generally speaking it is a very auspicious Gochara of the Moon despite the 3rd aspect of Śani/ Shani which will prevent us 'from taking it easy'  and we will be hard at work to absorb and benefit from this awareness and Jñāna at such a deep and central level of our being.
Commerce, leadership, money, law, astrology, finance, teaching, politics, banking, communications, and generally great things of creation and sustenance in this world will flower.
In the current natural disaster in Kedarnath and surrounding areas in the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand, rescue efforts will take on the shape of operations as if in a battlefield. Pragmatically this increased focus and action could be traced to continuing rains there.
For insight into what personalised and professional interpretations of your horoscope can achieve with these eternal and yet contemporaneously applicable Jyotiṣa/ Jyotisha principles can do for you, see my post/ article at-

Vedic/ Hindu/ Indian Astrology Daily Horoscope Predictions for 15th-17th of May, 2013

The transit Moon moves to Cancer/ Karkaṭa/ Karkata-one of the Rāśis/ Rashis associated with the Goddess and is aspected by the planet Saturn/ Śani/ Shani.

Moon is comfortable in Karkaṭa/ Karkata and matters relating to the home and heart shall attain prominence. People will be required to work very hard, something that the Moon does not like very much so ensure that the mind is at peace while addressing the requirements of physical labour.

Maṅgala/ Mangala/ Mars will also be aspecting the Moon with the 4th House aspect  and this afflicts the Moon and will bring resistance and fury if the work requirements are coercive. Mars will like to protect the sanctity of the space of the mind during this period while Śani/ Shani will insist that the work be done.

The mind could feel afflicted due to these conflicting trends operating. Depending on whether Mars or Saturn is better disposed towards the native the decision-making should be done. Having said that, this would be a superficial approach and the astrologer should be consulted in detail if issues of importance were to arise.

Competitiveness will certainly be a mark of this transit.

Another End and Beginning-Moon in Pisces and Aries/ Cañdra in Mīna-Meṣa Rāśi/ Chandra in Meena-Mesha Rashi

On 29th June, 2013, the transit Moon enters the dreamy Pisces, dreaming of release and emancipation, some sort of freedom from what the zodiac has thrown up. In Vedic astrology, Cañdra/ Chandra/ the Moon indicates the Manas or the mind of the native. In Pisces, the mind is focused on spiritual matters and for those so inclined, the Āshram/ Ashram of the Gurū/ Guru holds special attraction.

After these spiritual journeys, the Moon shall transit Meṣa/ Mesha/ Aries where the atmosphere is quite different with the impulsive Ketu stationed in the vibrant and dynamic Aries. Śani and Rāhu/ Shani and Rahu/ Saturn and Rahu will aspect the transit Moon with Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Graha Drishti/ planetary aspect and the malefic influence is bound to tell on the mind. There will be a lot of flux in the mind, a lot of motion and action, the quality and meaning of which depends on the natal horoscope and the Karma obtaining therein.  Some of the ways in which this Karma is evaluated and understood at a deeply personal level through professional consulting work are outlined and discussed at-

Further to ensure that you are always updated of the content change and new articles and sample analyses, transit papers and the deeper aspects of Hindu/ Indian astrology, and that you are informed of these right in your email Inbox, click the following link-

Before the Moon ventures into the charged up Aries-Libra/ Tulā/ Tula axis, it receives the very meaningful benefic aspects of Jupiter and Mercury the Sūrya through Rāśi Dṛṣṭi/ Rashi Drishti or sign aspects and so the Moon receives wisdom and rationality and large dollops of ambition and self-respect. However, the transit Moon will be in Gaṅdāṅta/ Gandanta as it moves across from Pisces/ Mīna Rāśi/ Meena Rashi to Meṣa Rāśi/ Mesha Rashi/ Aries. This will occur on 1st of July, 2013 when the mind can experience frailty. If the life station is good for a person, these factors do not prove troublesome and if not then these are factors to be contended with in personalised Hindu horoscopes. This is the reason the reference has been made to the variants of professional Vedic astrology consulting above-this is the core of the delineation of Karma and transits can only elucidate this, as I never tire of saying.

Gaṅdāṅta/ Gandanta for those who have not had the occasion to read about it at this website before is the junctional region between Pisces and Aries (and occurs elsewhere as well) where conflicting energies abound in the form of Jala and Agni and hence the cautionary note has been struck.

Vedic/ Indian/ Hindu Astrology Daily Horoscope Predictions for May 24 to May 26, 2013

The Moon will move to Vṛṣcika Rāśi/ Vrishchika Rashi/ Scorpio during the evening of 24th May, 2013. This is a full Moon of the Pūrṇimā/ Poornima Tithi and is full of rays. The mind is utterly illuminated and bright and yet it will be wide awake and fresh in a place of great depth and secrecy and potential for transformation, all these latter attributes indicated by the sign of Scorpio, the natural 8th House of the zodiac.

We have all experienced the communications from distant lands over the past few days with the Moon in Libra/ Tulā Rāśi/ Tula Rashi with the foreigner Rāhu and the distant old man Saturn. Some of these communications have been from people suffering illness and melancholy. Our own minds were full of thoughts and vibrant and there was a fair bit of lightness of being around.

Now, our emotions and feelings are submerged in depths where we have little control over what happens. Do you associate deep waters of the ocean with ease of navigation and the picnic basket. That is correct.

The chart for the entry of the Moon into sidereal Scorpio is given below for reference-

The aspects of Sun, Mercury and Venus are very strong from Taurus/ Vṛṣabha Rāśi/ Vrishabha Rashi and therefore conservatism in resources and authority, love of pleasure and sensuality and the finer things of life and also communications will be heavy influences on the receptive humbled mind during these two days of the Moon's sojourn in Scorpio.

Gurū/ Guru/ Jupiter and Maṅgala/ Mangala/ Mars also aspect and Gurū even while moving out of Taurus will grant functional and pragmatic wisdom to the mind through the Gajakeśarī/ Gajakesari Yoga. Mars' aspect is not sincere but it is there nonetheless.

The Lagna and the 7th from it are both Satya Pītha/ Peetha-the seats of truth and so the truth of the travels of the mind to the depths of Scorpio is also that in interaction it will be like Taurus with two Gurūs/ Gurus, a Śiṣya/ Shishya/ disciple, and the King himself. A great time to simply receive all these magnificent and abundant inputs.
