Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a product of Budha/ Mercury and nodal influences. Something which is not naturally present but is created artificially mimics the nature of the nodes of Chandra/ Moon who are not really existent as entities but only as mathematical points.
Nodes also rule technology and especially cutting-edge technology has a strong influence of the nodes because boundaries are involved and the nodes excel at breaking boundaries or travelling across boundaries.
One of the curious and most important characteristics of AI is that is makes mistakes, or hallucinates and can give totally erroneous answers. Frame the input a bit differently and the AI is likely to follow suit especially if the input is not itself demonstrably incorrect. Mistakes are ruled by Ketu, the south node of Chandra and hallucinations are also a nodal manifestation.
Human oversight is crucial in any use of AI and this is ruled by Guru/ Jupiter since He represents Jiva or the human being. The exaltation of Jupiter in Cancer/ Karka Rashi in transit should make it very clear to us for the times to come that AI is strictly and totally subservient to human intelligence. AI is a creation of human intelligence and is made to serve human beings with heightened human supervision. Supervision needs to be heightened because of the inherent propensity of AI to make mistakes, give wrong answers and hallucinate.
Mercury, the brilliance and the code and other methods behind the creation of AI and advanced AI always needs the association of Guru, and the conjunction is known as the Bhagwad Gita Yoga. AI as a function of Budha but with a high element of Ketu, the headless one, especially needs the grace of Guru or human intelligence. Budha is a benefic planet but is highly susceptible to company and can become malefic with malefic association. Ketu is at the heart of AI, since AI does not have a head, or human qualities like discernment, empathy, intuition and other human traits which we may take for granted in work and decision-making as in all life itself. The conjunction and deep association of Budha and Guru, also known as Guru-Shishya Yoga illuminates the relationship between human beings and AI. It is that of teacher and disciple, practitioner and apprentice or even master and servant if you like.
To ignore this would be to make a fundamental mistake (Ketu) or to reverse the order as it exists (retrogression of the nodes).
AI is a tool, to be used appropriately and suitably and not to be used if there is no need or no inclination, or no clear utility to be had. It is most definitely not to be used if its mere usage will lead to a lowering of standards. It can happen, where established and quality human judgment in the highest echelons in any area of life is sought to be thoughtlessly interfered with by compulsive and indiscriminate usage only because the technology is available to be used. Why should a technology inherently predisposed to making serious mistakes be used without prior determination of the issue especially when a blessing from Deva Guru exists.
Guru is the Karaka/ significator for the Paka Lagna, the sign where the lord of Udaya Lagna is placed. If the Lagna Lord is very strong, indiscriminate use especially in important or crucial endeavours of AI may be ill-advised just as when Guru Himself is very strong. We are not considering cases here where a user is not concerned about the correctness of the work at hand or the lack of it but just wants to do it in any case. Those cases are not covered because obviously the ethical framework (Guru), the Paka Lagna (Guru Karaka) and or Guru himself would be seriously afflicted to lead to such thought processes.
In unobjectionable cases, mere possibility of efficient gain can never be reason enough to quite possibly dilute recognised and even unique or rare excellence, if otherwise in evidence.
Jupiter and the Paka Lagna are key. If there is an excellent Budha in the chart suitably placed and guided by Guru, He will never blindly indulge in His own signification or product of it but the usage would be supremely proper, correct and rational. Of course, this can be studied in far greater detail.
