One of the entities one encounters in spirituality a lot is the soul. On the rare occasion, one would encounter the funny man, invariably in western philosophy who would scoff at the notion of the soul. And why not- if you are going to go primarily by empiricism and so on, then where is the proof of the soul in thought systems across the world. These disciplines are founded on the belief that all knowledge is sensory.
