Work and Practicalities-Moon in Virgo/ Cañdra in Kanyā Rāśi/ Chandra in Kanya Rashi-16th to 18th June, 2013

The royal solitude has come to an end and the Moon has come to Mercurial Virgo on the evening of 16th June, 2013. Cañdra/ Chandra in Kanyā Rāśi/ Kanya Rashi indicates a social and mental focus on work.  For the fortunate it will be work for reward or in this day and age it could well be just mindless slogging. Needless to say, the latter is hardly desirable but then must be endured at times, depending on the Karmā. The lunar ingress chart for the Virgo transit is given below for reference- There are no planetary aspects on the Moon in Kanya Lagna (to be used interchangeably with Rāśi/ Rashi in the absence of any specific Udaya Lagna/ Ascendants sign being used here) but there is the Rāśi Dṛṣṭi/ Rashi Drishti of four Grahas from Mithuna Lagna/ Rāśi/ Rashi.   Sign aspects/ Rāśi Dṛṣṭi/ sign aspects indicate deterministic influences rooted in awareness and therefore the context is Mercurial as both Mithuna and Kanyā/ Kanya are ruled by Budha/ Mercury. Debilitated Moon in Scorpio on 11th September, 2013

The Moon gets out of the terrible company it had been keeping in Libra with Saturn and Rāhu/ Rahu and the gaze of Mars. The Rāhu/ Rahu-Ketu axis brings Karmic events to fruition and whatever would have transpired during the sojourn of the Moon in Libra would have been Karmic and wealth oriented, as stated in the relevant paper. However, now the Moon moves to Scorpio/ Vṛṣcika/ Vrishchika Rāśi/ Rashi, which being the 8th House of the natural zodiac carries and harbours Karma within it. Scorpio and its Karmic depths are simply too deep for the gentle Moon to traverse. Moon is about flow and participation and comprises one half of royalty and it feels like dying in the 8th House which is the Maraṇa Kāraka Sthāna/ Marana Karaka Sthana for it. There is no flow, no speed and no participation in the 8th House. It is like a quagmire of Karma. The planetary position for this transit marked by the placement of the Moon in Scorpio is given below- Rāhu/ Rahu also aspects the Moon w

Moon in Capricorn/ Cañdra in Makara Rāśi / Chandra in Makara Rashi on 22nd July, 2013

The transit Moon enters Makara Rāśi/ Rashi on 22nd July, 2013 and it is a full Moon/ Pūrṇa Cañdra since Ravi is in the 7th Bhāva from Makara Rāśi in Karkaṭa Rāśi/ Karkata Rashi. This is also the auspicious occasion of Gurū Pūrṇimā/ Guru Purnima.  Capricorn is a sign of hard practicality and work will reign supreme. Capricorn is ruled by Śani/ Shani/ Saturn and no matter what the Lagna or the rising sign in the nativity, the quality of Capricorn is always work. This is hard work involving fatigue but the full Moon on Pūrṇimā Tithi ensures that the mind enjoys this. There is a lot of fire in the mind too due to two Agni Grahas Sūrya and Maṅgala/ Surya and Mangala influencing the Moon in transit with their Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti/ planetary aspects. Work will become a far more dominant theme for those who have Capricorn in one of the working or career houses in the natal horoscope. Protective instincts will be on a high as would be pride, awareness of the social circle, family, emotions

Vedic/ Indian Astrology Daily Horoscope Predictions for 29th April to 1st May, 2013 (Free and Complimentary)

29th April- 1st May, 2013- Rāśi/ Rashi predictions based on the Hindi/ Saṅskṛt (Sankskrit) names of the Rashis are also referred to as Rāśi Bhaviṣya/ Rashi Bhavishya which can be translated as the future determined on the basis of transits.  The important features are that the Moon has recovered from its immediate eclipse and consequent debility and has crossed an important threshold of the Gaṅdāṅta/ Gandanta. Mercury has done the same. It too has transcended its debility and come to action from utter stillness which is against its nature. It too had cross the Gaṅdāṅta/ Gandanta which is an important threshold for matters cognitive and for rationality and commerce in general. While Mercury has come to the dynamic Aries/ Meṣa/ Mesha, Moon has gone to Dhanuṣa Rāśi/ Dhanusha Rashi/ Sagittarius which is the field of play of Jupiter/ Gurū/ Guru. This is a vastly different scenario from what has been prevailing till recently. Mercury in Aries will give some cutting edge (Meṣa/ M

Vedic/ Indian Astrology Daily Horoscope Predictions for 1st to 3rd May, 2013 (Free and Complimentary)

1st-3rd May, 2013- In this segment of the Rāśi Bhaviṣya/ Rashi Bhavishya or daily Vedic horoscope predictions rendered primarily based on the sign movement of the Moon we note that Cañdra/ Chandra/ the Moon comes out of the 3rd House aspect of Śani/ Shani/ Saturn which had been pressuring the mind. While the Moon is in Makara Rāśi/ Rashi/ Capricorn and the work ethic and performance in the work sphere will be paramount, at least the pressures are not coming to bear on the mind as they were  in Sagittarius.  The substratum of something and active influences on something are two entirely different things.  As an aside is it not interesting that 'Mayday' is used as a distress call and also to indicate Labour Day on May 1. Both distress and labour are governed by the planet Saturn/ Śani/ Shani which goes on to show that there is nothing beyond Jyotiṣa when it comes to understanding life, whether in its mundane or other facets.  Jupiter once again aspects the tra

Vedic/ Indian Astrology Daily Horoscope Predictions for 3th to 5th May, 2013 (Free and Complimentary)

3rd May-5th May,  2013- The transit for these couple of days reveals that the Moon will move to Kumbha/ Aquarius at about 2:30 PM on Friday. The Moon reiterates the Gajakeśarī Yoga being in the 10th House from Gurū/ Guru/ Jupiter. The fixed/ Sthira Lagnas will especially feel the beneficial power of this combination as it occurs in the Kendra Bhāva/ Bhava from the Lagna/ ascendant. We should not forget the aspect of Rāhu/ Rahu to the Moon though because Rāhu's propensity to breed discontent and anxiety is well known when aspecting the Moon especially in Aquarius-there can be issues related to perceived problems in fulfilment of objectives. Through its 9th House aspect Rāhu/ Rahu may put the focus on foreign lands and research and give unusual experiences in the realm of gains, income, money, friends and in the thought processes relating to ambitions and their fulfilment. The more specific impact will of course depend on each individual horoscopic configuration. To

Vedic/ Indian Astrology Daily Horoscope Predictions for 6th to 8th May, 2013 (Free and Complimentary)

6th May-8th May, 2013- As Venus strengthens its motion and advances into Taurus/ Vṛṣabha/ Vrishabha, Cañdra/ Chandra/ the Moon has moved into the watery Mīna/ Meena/ Pisces. Here the Moon does not receive any aspects, that is the special aspects/ Viṣeṣa Dṛsṭi/ Vishesha Drishti from any of the other Grahas. In fact there are no aspects whatsoever and so the mind will dive into the ocean and try and look for meaning. The Moon here is dreamy and receptive. There can be a sense of release and breaking free of the shackles during this transit due to the nature of the sign but ironically this sign also indicates opposite pulls and thus is directly indicative of bondage. These tendencies have to be reconciled and transcended.  That is the task of this Pisces Moon.  To subscribe to this website through email and to receive latest articles and updates from this website directly in your Inbox go to- http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=VedicAstrologyConsultancyResear

Vedic/ Indian Astrology Daily Horoscope Predictions for 8th to 10th May, 2013 (Free and Complimentary)

8th May-10th May, 2013- Our experience with the unaspected Moon in Pisces brings to the fore the foundational dynamic of the Kemadruma Yoga where there are no planets either joined the Moon or in the Keṅdras/ Kendras/ quadrants from the Moon. The Moon is gentle and mirroring and needs the influences of other Grahas. Cañdra/ Chandra in Mīna/ Meena/ Pisces has been emotional and connected but not too active otherwise. The Moon moves into Aries and joins the exalted Sun and the Mūlatṛkoṇa/ Moolatrikona Mangala. The quietude gives way to action and initiative. What was not happening, happens suddenly, with alacrity. Fire rages in the mind and in the head.  Fire can burn and if something is outgrown then it is best to weed it out. Do not throw out the baby with the bath water though.  There is a heavy polarisation of opposites in that the fiery Sun/ Ravi and Mars/ Mangala/  Maṅgala  are in Aries/ Meṣa/ Mesha-the impetuous beginning of things while the airy Saturn an

Vedic/ Indian Astrology Daily Horoscope Predictions for 10th to 12th May, 2013 (Free and Complimentary)

10th May-12th May, 2013- People are now waiting for the transit Moon to move to its exaltation sign of Taurus/ Vṛṣabha/ Vrishabha and joins the two preceptors Gurū/ Guru/ Jupiter and Śukra/ Shukra/ Venus which will immediately lead to Vāhana/ Vahana Yoga and Gajakeśarī/ Gajakesari Yoga apart from the Dwi-Gurū Yoga which is already formed in the skies. The theme of abundance indicates by the coming together of the two preceptors finds crystallising in the coming of the Moon to this sign and confirming the result. The transit Moon indicates where fructification is going to come. All the changes and transformations being brought about by the eclipse will find their immediate answers in this period. The Moon blasted by the cruel and the ill-intentioned and tormented by fire,  cumulatively pure and vicious, finds solace in comfort and knowledge in Taurus and the mind will therefore be more at rest.  It is often a balance between 'This too shall pass' and 'Don

Vedic Astology Lagna/ Rāśi/ Rashi Transit for 31st July, 2013 to 2nd August, 2013

The Moon travels to Taurus Lagna and/ or Rāśi/ Rashi as the case may be. Cañdra/ Chandra is exalted Uchcha in Vṛṣabha Rāśi/ Vrishabha Rashi and this is its Mūlatṛkoṇa Rāśi/ Moolatrikona Rashi as well.  Taurus is the treasure house in the zodiac, an area of beauty, strength, abundance and riches. Here the Moon does not receive any malefic aspects whatsoever and so depending on the Lagna and Rāśi/ Rashi in the natal horoscope, the effects of the exalted Moon will be felt. One may feel contentment or a sense of abundance or simply be in good cheer. There will be increased social participation since the Moon is the Kāraka for society. There are some circumstantial and deterministic influences on the mind and family and these are brought by the Sun/ Sūrya on the one hand and Śani and Rāhu/ Shani and Rahu on the other. A sense of personal power will be felt along with some extra thoughts in matters of personal interaction which will be buffeted by the winds as if were. It is in pers

Repressed Anger and Complusive Work-Moon in Cancer/ Chandra in Karka Rashi on 1st September, 2013

During the Moon transit in Cancer/ Cañdra in Karkaṭa/ Chandra in Karkata Rashi, there is repressed anger and/ or issues with the drive and aspiration of people due to the Nīca/ Neecha Avasthā/ Avastha/ debilitation of Mars/ Maṅgala/ Mangala/ Kuja.  Saturn's aspect to the transit Moon also acts as a force of compulsion, prompting an otherwise sated mind to work and action and that too work and action which is necessary in some way, compulsory, from which there can be no reprieve. This state of affairs is depicted by the transit chart in Vedic astrology which is given below for reference and perusal-       A transit cancellation of the debilitation of the planet Mars is also happening since Cañdra/ Chandra/ the Moon is the lord of the sign of debilitation of Maṅgala/ Mangala/Kuja/ Mars. This basically means that the lack of drive, fire and ambition which is happening due to the debilitation of the planet Mars is being cured and alleviated by healthy and rested emo

Daily Vedic/ Hindu/ Indian Transit Horoscope Predictions for 4th June to 6th June, 2013-Moon in Aries/ Cañdra in Meṣa/ Chandra in Mesha

Vedic/ Hindu/ Indian astrology or Jyotiṣa/ Jyotisha considers the Moon/ Cañdra/ Chandra of major significance based on the dictum 'Cañdramā/ Chandrama Manaso Jātakaḥ' meaning that the Moon is the Mind of the human being. Śrī/ Shri Kṛṣṇa/ Krishna in the Śrīmad Bhagwad Gītā/ Shrimad Bhagwad Gita has said the body is the  chariot, the senses are the horses pulling the chariot and the Mind is the charioteer. For this reason it is imperative for the Vedic Astrologer to always remember the significance of the Moon. Therefore quite apart from focusing on the Cañdra/ Chandra Lagna/ Moon ascendant sign or the Jañma Rāśi (Janma Rashi) in the natal Vedic/ sidereal horoscope for predictions, the Vedic Astrologer always gives special importance to the Moon transits. This exercise for judging the results of the transits is also called the Rāśi Bhaviṣya/ Rashi Bhavishya/ which is the Hindi Rashi equivalent expression of judging results based on the transits. The transit/ Gochara Vedic

Transit Vedic Moon in Sagittarius on 16th August, 2013: From depression to optimism

The mind has been in a sad shape during the transit of the Moon both in Libra/ Tulā Rāśi/ Tula Rashi and in Scorpio/ Vṛṣcika/ Vrishchika where in the latter sign it was Nīca/ debilitated. In Libra, buffeted by forces and in Scorpio, fallen with the Hangman's Noose around its neck. On the night of 16th of August, 2013 the mind traverses radically different surrounds and also must traverse a junction of water and fire-the Gaṅdāṅta/ Gandanta. The realm of Sagittarius/ Dhanuṣa Rāśi/ Dhanusha Rashi is ruled by the greatest benefic Jupiter/ Gurū/ Guru and is a sign of optimism and action. The transit of Cañdra/ Chandra through Dhanuṣa Rāśi/ Dhanusha Rashi on 16th August, 2013 looks like this-             Sagittarius is the 9th House of the natural zodiac and corresponds to faith, religion, temples, law, higher education and the element of luck and fortune. The theme is of growth and expansion. Jupiter/ Gurū/ Guru aspects the Moon from Gemini/ Mithuna Rāśi/ Rashi an

What is your Karmic location-Moon in Cancer During 11th to 13th of June, 2013/ Cañdra in Karkaṭa Rāśi/ Chandra in Karkata Rashi

The Moon posits itself in Cancer on the night of 11th June, 2013 in this segment of the Hindu horoscope transit studies of the Rāśi Bhaviṣya/ Rashi Bhavishya. Cancer, is of course Karkaṭa/ Karka Rāśi/ Rashi in Hindi and Saṅskṛt. When the Vedic astrologer looks at the entry chart for the Moon in Cancer late on 11th June, 1973 it looks as follows-     Though the Moon is un-conjoined in Cancer, the experience due to the Lattā/ Latta or kick of Śani/ Shani/ Saturn will reveal whether your Karma is such that you feel a negative import of the transit or not. One appreciates that the dictum is not lucid and not capable to ready comprehension.  But dwell on this. The counter is that huge blessings are accruing through Mithuna where the benefic Grahas are congregating and so one must figure out through experience where one stands in Karma at this time. If it is work and putting in what the cosmos should want through your Karma, without more, consider yourself blessed. Otherwis

Vedic/ Hindu/ Indian Astrology Daily Horoscope Predictions for 20th May to 22nd May, 2013

Feeling good and illuminated? As if you know what you are about?   This is the knowledge and wisdom and niceness of Jupiter/   Guru which is aspecting the transit Moon in Virgo/   Kanya Rashi (read influencing).   Virgo is an exacting perfectionist domain and Jupiter’s sheer knowledge of how things work is an excellent influence on the mind.   The transit chart for the Moon in Virgo aspected by Jupiter is extracted below for reference-     Virgo/  Kanyā/ Kanya Lagna or Rāśi is an Earth sign ruled by Mercury and therefore addresses practical matters which are associated with wealth generation. Jupiter ruled wealth and so money-making and professional work to do with information sifting and rationale in general will come to the fore.   This will be a time when people are quite aware that the events that are transpiring can help them augment their income and financial well-being and this is an auspicious sign if the higher aspects of the teachings of the planet Jupi

Two Types of Advice-Moon in Aquarius/ Cañdra in Kumbha Rāśi/ Chandra in Kumbha Rashi During 27th to 29th of June, 2013

The transit Moon/ Cañdra/ Chandra has moved to Aquarius/ Kumbha Rāśi/ Rashi on the 27th of June, 2013. Here it moves into the psychedelic and expanded domains where boundaries are blurred and intoxicants abound. The Gochara/ transit chart depicting the movement of the gentle luminary in Kumbha Rāśi/ Rashi or Lagna, depending on how the reader wishes to view it, in the North Indian Vedic/ Hindu/ Indian astrology diamond style is given below-       Now, Aquarius has a lot of width and consequently  a lot of scope for instruction. Active instruction during this transit of the Vedic Moon is coming primarily from two Grahas-Gurū/ Guru, the Preceptor of the Devas and Rāhu, the one who has taken up the cudgels for the opposite camp. Rather than unbridled forays into concentric worlds of thought and often delusion that Rāhu likes, engage more in thoughts that have the potential of embracing the world itself.   One may legitimately extend the scope of this sort of advice and

Daily Vedic/ Hindu/ Indian Horoscope Predictions for 26th to 28th of May, 2013

How the previous prediction based on the transits turned out for people- Our anticipation about the characteristics of the Moon transit in Scorpio have turned out to be well-founded with those fortunate enough to be associated with this eternal art reporting that the mind had indeed delved deep into the depth of Vṛṣcika Rāśi (Vrishchika Rashi/ Scorpio), the experience was not overwhelming due to the optimism of the promise of benefic planets in the 7th from the transit Moon, in Taurus/ Vṛṣabha/ Vrishabha-the sign of plenty and comforts. This preceding post for the Moon in Scorpio is here-http://planetarytransformation.blogspot.in/2013/05/vedic-indian-hindu-astrology-daily.html  This transit, here and now- Anyhow, this is all remembrance of things past and now the transit Moon has moved to Sagittarius the sign of eternal optimism, where the greatest benefic of the zodiac, Gurū/ Guru/ Jupiter goes to work. This is the sign of wisdom and Sanātana Dharma-that which does not change a

Moon in Taurus/ Cañdra in Vṛṣabha/ Chandra in Vrishabha Rāśi/ Rashi on 6th June, 2013

The Rāśi Bhaviṣya/ Rashi Bhavishya or the daily Vedic astrology predictions ensuing from the Vedic/ Indian/ Hindu horoscope for the transits during 6th to 8th June, 2013 must take into account the movement of the Moon to Taurus, its sign of exaltation. The Vedic astrologer immediately notes that the transit Moon is rid of the Gochara affliction of its conjunction with Ketu in Meṣa Rāśi/ Mesha Rashi and the Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti-planetary aspect- of Śani and Rāhu/ Shani and Rahu from Tulā/ Tula Rāśi/ Rashi/ Libra. Taurus is known as Vṛṣabha/ Vrishabha Rāśi/ Rashi in Hindi/ Devanāgarī/ Devanagari and the Saṅskṛt/ Sanskrit. The transit chart for the entry of the Moon in Taurus on June 6, 2013 is given below- Taurus indicates happy times for the mind since the gentle luminary is exalted here. Taurus/ Vṛṣabha Rāśi/ Vrishabha Rashi and Lagna/ Ascendant sign shows a field of play of luxury and abundance where the Moon is delighted. Taurus is ruled by Venus/ Śukra/ Shukra and indic

Something About Your Karma-Moon in Capricorn/ Cañdra in Makara Rāśi/ Chandra in Makara Rashi During 25th to 27th of June, 2013

The transit of Moon into Capricorn in Vedic Astrology brings focus to your work and Karma because Capricorn/ Makara Rāśi/Makara Rashi is the 10th House of the natural zodiac and indicates the Karma of the person. The Hindu horoscope for the transit/ Gochara of Cañdra/ Chandra into Makara Lagna is depicted below in the North Indian/ diamond style Lagna chart-   We see that there are no malefic influences on this transit Moon in Capricorn either by way of Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti/ planetary aspect or Rāśi Dṛṣṭi/ Rashi Drishti or sign aspect. Therefore the royal Moon is in Makara Rāśi/ Rashi alone and is traversing not just work but our very actions in all spheres and if you are going through Kārmic times with some Karmic Daśās/ Dashas operating in the radix, then this could indicate the way your Karma is headed. Good experiences will show that the bad Karma is over and your actions have been such that now auspicious results might be expected or things could be otherwise. These dete

Exalted Moon/ Chandra in Taurus/ Vrishabha Rashi on 27th August, 2013

After the transit affliction of conjunction with Ketu in Aries and the Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti/ planetary aspect of Śani and Rāhu/ Shani and Rahu from Tulā Rāśi/ Tula Rashi/ Libra, the Moon is in unalloyed exaltation in Taurus/ Vrishabha/ Vṛṣabha Rāśi/ Rashi or Lagna. This is also the occasion of Bhagwāna Śrī Kṛṣṇa Jaṅmāṣṭamī/ Bhagwana Shri Krishna Janmashtami. Śri Kṛṣṇa Avatāra/ Shri Krishna Avatāra was born in Taurus/Vṛṣabha/ Vrishabha Lagna with the exalted Moon in Lagna in Rohiṇī Nakṣatra/ Rohini Nakshatra which is reiterated by this transit. He is the Cañdra Avātāra/ Chandra Avatara and this is an excellent time to worship matters related to the Moon in the radix. The Gochara Chakra/ transit chart for the entry of the Moon to Taurus is given below-       The Taurus Moon is exalted and in the sign which contains his favourite bride Rohiṇī/ Rohini-the red one. This sign and the placement of the Moon is known for pleasure and hedonism, wealth and passion and indulgen

Daily Vedic Astrology Predictions-Moon in Pisces/ Cañdra/ Chandra in Mīna/Meena Rāśi (Rashi) During 2nd-4th June, 2013

Moon moves to Pisces/ Mīna Rāśi/ Meena Rashi in the early hours of 2nd June, 2013 Indian Standard Time. Mīna Rāśi/ Meena Rashi is the sign of the Ṛṣis/ Rishis, sign where things culminate and we find release. It is ruled by the greatest benefic Gurū/ Guru/ Jupiter and here the Moon is unaspected by any planet with planetary aspect or Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti. This sign deals with peace and spiritual matters and learning of eternal truths. Purely from the transient standpoint, though, due to the fact that the Moon is not aspected, we find that the influences on the Moon will come from Jupiter, the lord of Pisces which also aspects the Moon with Rāśi Dṛṣṭi/ Rashi Drishti or the sign aspect along with Venus and  Mercury. The transit chart for the entry of the Moon into Pisces is given below-       We can quite easily see that the sign influence of the three great benefics-Jupiter (Gurū), Venus (Śukra/ Shukra) and Mercury (Budha) to the Moon from the Mercurial Gemini/ Mithun

Moon in Pisces/ Cañdra in Mīna Rāśi/ Chandra in Meena Rashi on 26th July, 2013

Pisces is the sign of emancipation and release and Mīna/ Meena Lagna in Vedic astrology is associated with the teachings of the seers/ Ṛṣis. The transit Moon is traversing this sign. It is a dual and mutable Rāśi but is also partakes of the famous "pairs of opposites" which are to be transcended if final release or Mokṣa/ Moksha is to be had. It is in part for this reason that Pisces Lagna has a dreamy look and disposition because they are embroiled in these opposites and have to surmount them. This requires contemplation. Meditation and associated activities such as sleep and long distance travel are also linked with Meena Rashi. No Grahas are conjoining or aspecting the Gochara Chandra/ Gocara Cañdra with Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti or planetary sight/ aspect but three planets from the Mercurial Gemini/ Mithuna Rāśi/ Rashi are aspecting with Rāśi Dṛṣṭi/ Rashi Drishti/ sign aspect. The transit chart for the sojourn of the Moon in Pisces during 26th to 28th of July, 2013 is

Vedic astrology transit for 28th to 30th of July,2013:Moon in Aries/ Cañdra in Meṣa Rāśi/ Chandra in Mesha Rashi

The transit Moon moves to Aries on the night of the 28th of July, 2013 and must traverse the Gaṅdāṅta/ Gandanta between Mīna Rāśi/ Meena Rashi/ Pisces and Meṣa Rāśi/ Mesha Rashi/ Aries. Some conflict and agitation in the mind can arise during this time. As the Moon travels further into Aries, it finds Ketu awaiting and the Moon can get eclipsed since this is a Grahaṇa Yoga/ Grahana Yoga. Furthermore, there is Graha Dṛṣṭi/ Drishti/ planetary aspect of Śani/ Shani/ Saturn and Rāhu, Rahu from Libra/ Tulā Rāśi/ Tula Rashi. There will be serious corporate and business influence on interaction and participation and this could extend to foreign lands due to the dominant role being played by the nodes of the Moon. The transit chart is given below for your reference so that planets in the various signs and their aspects can be examined-     This can create the atmosphere for a good fight due to the fact that the transit Moon is moving through a sign of Mars, and that too the Mūla

Rough and Tumble with the Vedic Moon in Aries on 25th August, 2013

Cañdra/ Chandra/ the Moon is in Aries joined Ketu on the 25th of August, 2013 and the theme of the moment is infra-red initiative. There is a lot of hustle and bustle.  Śani and Rāhu/ Shani and Rahu also aspect the transit Moon in Meṣa Rāśi/ Mesha Rashi making for the direct influence of three malefic planets on the mind in a malefic ambition-oriented sign.  The chart for the transit is given below- Things emerge out of flux. With careful adherence to the influences on the mind and understanding why something is happening can go a long way in furthering perspective and enabling and efficacious navigation of the current Gochara.  Initiative, aggression, leadership and a heady mix of instinctive thought and careful, deliberate thinking will be in evidence. Ketu is headless and does not think cerebrally while Rāhu's strong aspect indicates planning and highly intellectual approach to things extending to the abstract. Saturn brings slow and deliberate approach to finance

A bouquet of blessings-Transit Moon in Gemini/ Gochara Chandra in Mithuna Rashi/ Gochar Cañdra in Mithuna Rāśi

On 6th July, 2013, the transit Moon moves to the Mercurial Gemini with a powerful and insistent Mercury transiting its own sign in great strength in retrogression. This is according to the sidereal zodiac in Vedic/ Hindu/ Indian astrology and intended to be used for one's Lagna or Rāśi/ Rashi chart. The transit Moon is in fabulous company with the greatest benefic Jupiter/ Gurū/ Guru also posited there forming the transit Gajakeśarī Yoga/ Gajakesari Yoga which leads to fame and recognition primarily in the context of one's wisdom and learning and the communication thereof. These planets are also joined the fiery combination of Sūrya/ the Sun and Mars and some trailblazing initiatives could be taken during this transit. The transit chart or the Hindu horoscope is depicted below for ready reference- The most impact should be felt for the people of mutable/ dual Lagna or Dwiswabhāva/ Dwidwabhava Rāśi/ Rashi where the circumstances would be very conducive for new an

Wealth, society and Pleasure-Moon & Mercury in Virgo and Venus in Libra on 6th September, 2013

On 6th September, 2013 several transits occur all at once in Vedic Astrology-Mercury/ Budha gets exalted in Virgo/ Kanyā Rāśi/ Kanya Rashi and Moon joins it in that sign. Perfection, work oriented communications, and a focus on reaping a rich harvest all show up. The pleasure principle and the planet of beauty and aesthetics Venus/ Śukra/ Shukra also moves to its Mūlatṛkoṇa Rāśi/ Moolatrikona Rashi in Tulā Rāśi/ Tula Rashi/ Libra even though it is joined Saturn and Rāhu/ Rahu.  Saturn is also exalted in Libra enjoying the bounties of the corporate world and business environment where its hunger for wealth and abundance is met and the hard slog becomes focussed enterprise. The transit chart showing this is given below-         The Sun, the giver of all resources is also strongly placed in its own Rāśi/ Rashi Simha/ Leo and Venus in Libra generates proximity to beauty, luxury items and the like. There is malefic influence on Venus though and these areas can be avoid

Full Moon in Aquarius on 20th August, 2013

Bright rays, corresponding thoughts and optimism pervade the mind since the Moon is in the sign of Kumbha/ Aquarius on 20th August, 2013. The Sun has also finished the terrible Gaṅdāṅta Saṅkrāṅti/ Gandanta Sankaranti on the border of Cancer and Leo and has culminated in the festival of Rakṣā Baṅdhana/ Rakshabandhana.  The Sun is in the royal Leo/ Simha, its own sign and from terrible conflict at the elemental/ Tattwa level, it is now in its splendorous domain. People will be acting from a place of personal power especially if dominated by the Sun in some manner. This dominance can be worked out through the Lagna Chakra in Vedic astrology/ Jyotiṣa/ Jyotisha or through the Cañdra Rāśi (Jaṅma Rāśi)/ Chandra Rashi (Janma Rashi)-natal Moon- or indeed from any of the Viṣeṣa/ Vishesha Lagna such as the Ārūḍha/ Arudha or the Ghātikā etc. I have frequently pointed out that the Varga Chakra Lagna and the Vishesha Lagna have to be considered in this context as well. The Moon is opposite in

Bliss at the Core-Moon in Sagittarius/ Cañdra in Dhanuṣa Rāśi/ Chandra in Dhanusha Rashi on 23rd to 25th of June, 2013

The transit Moon travels to sidereal Sagittarius on the 23rd of June, ending a spate of affliction by malefics in Libra and then debility in Scorpio in the Vedic/ Hindu/ Indian astrology horoscope. Sagittarius/ Dhanuṣa Rāśi/ Dhanusha rashi contains the Mūla Nakṣatra/ Mula Nakshatra. Mula means the root or the core and is indicative of central Karma in horoscopy. The Rāśi/ Rashi position of Cañdra in Dhanuṣa Rāśi/ Chandra in Dhanusha Rashi on the 23rd of June, 2013 is given below-     We can immediately see the powerful aspects of the Paṅḍita/ Pandita Yoga from Mithuna Rāśi/ Rashi or Lagna as you may choose to view it. There is a major desire for deep, core wisdom of the Mūla Nakṣatra to work together with the information processing of Mithuna Rāśi and the brilliance of the Nipuṇa/ Nipuna Yoga.   Gurū's/ Guru's aspect is another thing altogether and this forms the celebrated Gajakeśarī/ Gajakesari Yoga showing that for those for whom auspicious Karma is at ha
