Recently Composed Prashna Chakra/ Horary Chart Analysis in Vedic Astrology (Uploaded on 20th January, 2014)

This is a relatively recently composed Prashna Chakra Analysis/ Horary Chart Analysis which evaluates the queries based on three charts-Rashi, Navamsha and the Jagannatha Drekkana, a D-3 chart discussed and described in the Nadi literature.

The use of the various Lagnas and the Chhatra Rashi (umbrella/ sign of protection) and the Vithi Rashi (the path sign) shows the techniques of evaluation of these queries in a systematic framework in Vedic astrology.

The Prashna Chakra/ Horary Chart Analysis is mostly availed of by long-standing consulters who are proximate to their Karma through the work done with the Life Reading/ Detailed Chart Analysis and the sequential evaluations through the Tithi Pravesha Chakra/ Annual Chart Analysis etc.

The Rāśi Chakra of the horary chart is depicted below for easy reference- (Omitted)
Your first query is whether there is any hidden agenda being pursued by the other side regarding the obtaining of the legal document under consideration.

Let us proceed to see what the chart indicates regarding this. Leo/ Simha Lagna rises in the Rāśi Chakra and the lord Ravi/ the Sun is placed in the 6th House in the Rāśi Chakra. The placement of the Sun in the horary chart is important in its own right since it indicates the Vīthi Rāśi/ the Path.

As the Sun is also the Lagna lord showing you, ‘the Querist’ it is clear that the answer to this first query is quite crucial for you. This is also self-evident when we simply look at the query. Sun is in Nakra/ Makara Rāśi in the Rāśi Chakra and this corresponds to Mithuna Rāśi as the Vithi sign.

The Ārūḍha/ Arudha Lagna showing the visible and manifest life is in Mithuna Rāśi Chakra and the Moon is just coming in to this sign at zero degrees at the time of casting the Praśna. The signs counted from the Ārūḍha Lagna to the Lagna yield three signs and when we count this from the Vīthi Rāśi, which is the same as the Ārūḍha Lagna, we get to the Lagna. This is the Chhatra Rāśi or the sign of protection. The first thing is that even if there is a hidden agenda, you will remain protected. The other thing is that the Ārūḍha Lagna has a weak but growing Moon. As this Moon grows, so shall grow your popularity and success and in the context of this query, you will emerge after struggle as the one basking in the light. However the query is whether there is a hidden agenda. The Lagna is the beginning and is the first point of visibility. One does not feel from this that there is a hidden agenda.

The lord of the Lagna is also the lord of the Chhatra Rāśi and is placed in the 6th House of illness, debts and enemies. It is probably the former spouse’s illness which is to account for the delay in proceedings. The 6th Bhāva from the Lagna indicates illness. Cancer is not indicated by any planet in the 6th House. We have the Sun joined an exalted Mars/ Maṅgala and Budha/ Mercury. However it is the sign Capricorn/ Nakra which is lorded by Śani which confirms illness as Śani is the Naisargika Kāraka/ Natural Significator for illness.

There is no foul play or hidden agenda here due to the aspect of Jupiter/ Gurū from the 10th Bhāva from the Lagna with both Graha Driṣṭi/ planetary aspect and Rāśi Dṛṣti/ sign aspect. Since you are the querist the protection extends to you and so no adversity is likely to accrue to you because of this though obviously the atmosphere of the ‘fight’ and ‘contest’ is very real due to the placement of the planets in the 6th House-all of ego, pride, expression to feelings, anger, bloody mindedness are all a part of it.
The recent past of the query is shown by the Navāmśa/ Navamsha Chakra .
One does not find anything startling here as well with the relevant planet Śani placed with Ravi in the 4th House. This only points to illness as being the reason and the Chhatra Rāśi Simha is again in a trine from the Lagna. This shows protection from concealed agenda even in the past. The future of this query is divined from the Jagannātha Drekkāṇa.
In this chart, the concerned planet Saturn is better placed being a natural malefic in an Upacaya Bhāva-a house of growth. From such a station the malefic nature of the planet does not harm as much. Also a glance at the 6th House, where the lord of the Chhatra Rāśi was placed in the Rāśi Chakra, reveals two benefics Gurū and Budha placed in this chart. This indicates that in the future as well hidden agendas are unlikely to emerge as regards the obtaining of the document in question.

The second query relates to how you should proceed with this issue and has to be evaluated from the Caṅdra Lagna. The Moon in the Rāśi Chakra of the Praśna is in Mithuna Rāśi and is weak being at zero degrees. It is in a sign ruled by Budha. Counting from the Ārūḍha Lagna we get one sign and this is the Vithi sign as well. Therefore the Chhatra or the umbrella of protection is also here.

Since this is the Ārūḍha Lagna  with the Cañdra placed in it, one would see something overt happening regarding the obtaining of the legal document in question. In other words you would be required to take steps to extract the document on your own since both the Ārūḍha Lagna  the Cañdra show the self.

One does not get the clear indication that this should be done through a counsel since Gurū (lawyer) is in the 12th House from the Moon showing distrust and anxiety. This can be traced from the Navāmśa Chakra  where Gemini has an exalted Rāhu and you might have felt that the lawyer may have been too wordy and too difficult to get a hold of as regards his involvement with the case. The end result for you was far from comfortable and you have doubts about how much a lawyer can accomplish in this process without doubts and problems cropping up for you. All quadrants in the Navāmśa Chakra  are occupied by malefics with Ketu in the Lagna and Śani-Ravi in the 4th House and Maṅgala being in the 10th Bhāva from the Lagna. This is a bad Sarpa Yoga from the past and you are better off extracting the document on your own.

Any doubts as to this strategy can be found clarified in the Jagannātha Drekkāṇa Cakra where again Rāhu is exalted in Mithuna Rāśi. We must remember one thing-Rāhu means no protection and so you would be well advised to do everything yourself otherwise any other participant is quite likely to prove extremely disappointing. Also, Jupiter is again in the 12th Bhāva from Rāhu, generally indicating that a lawyer will cause dissipation in the process. It also indicates your own efforts because Gurū is the Lagna Lord in this Varga Chakra.

Your third query relates to the future indications regarding this whole matter and this has to be judged from the Sūrya Lagna. Counting from the Ārūḍha Lagna in Mithuna Rāśi we travel to the 8th Bhāva therefrom where Ravi is placed in Nakra/ Makara Rāśi. Now since the Vīthi Rāśi is also Mithuna we travel eight (8) signs to arrive at Capricorn again which is the Chhatra Rāśi of protection.  When the 8th House comes into the picture we immediately think of cessation and endings. The first indication is that this matter is approaching an ending. The 8th from the Ārūḍha Lagna is also the 6th Bhāva from the Lagna and indicates ending of marital matters. However it is also the placement of the Lagna Lord and the 2nd and 11th lord with the Rajayoga Kāraka Maṅgala placed there as well. The focus you have given to this problem shows that matters are well within your control.

Since the query relates to the future prospects we find that in the Jagannātha Drekkāṇa Ravi is in the 2nd Bhāva from the Lagna and in the Chhatra Rāśi again-this also does not seem to portend anything negative to you since it ends the imbroglio by being in the 8th Bhāva from the 7th House of marital relations.

When I looked at the natal chart, the main feature which presented itself is that you are living through the Daśā Saṅdhi or the junctional period between Mahādaśās where one major period is getting over and another is beginning. The period of the exalted Sun is set to start and one feels en excellent remedy would be to usher it in. We know that like large masses, Mahādaśās start showing their results before they actually start since they have a massive, magnetic quality to them.

The best way to usher it in is to worship Śrī Rāma by reading the Rāmāyaṇa or to visit a Rāma temple if possible or praying before Rāma in any way that you might like. This should especially be done on Sundays.

This will elevate you entire being.

The other thing is to not succumb to the ‘winds’  of too much thought and some negative and depressive thinking indicated by the Gocara of Śani and Rāhu through Tulā Rāśi in the 5th Bhāva from the Lagna. The rule should be no dubious relationships since the Dārāpada/ A7 is also in this house.
Best wishes,
Anurag Sharma.

A BRIEF LOOK AT THE TWELVE LAGNAS/ ASCENDANTS IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY

People are often curious at the beginning of their astrological quest, to know something of the various facets pertaining to their ‘chart’; in other words, they wish to evaluate the basic propensities pertaining to their Lagnas and their Rashi/ Lagna Kundalis (Kundalis). Also, the Chandra Lagna itself and Gochar furnish other popular areas of curiosity. Lagna is the sign rising on the Eastern horizon at the time of birth and is occupied by a Rāśi (Rashi)/ Vedic sign. The average duration of a sign rising in the Lagna/ Ascendant is two hours and for this reason the twelve Rāśis cover the twenty-four hours duration of the solar day. ( Basic Jyotiṣa principles can be accessed by clicking this link ) Lagna imbues a person with individuality and therefore denotes the self and the personality of the person. It is the first house or Bhāva of the chart and is the commencement point of any horoscopic study. We cannot forget that in all the divisional charts as well there is a Lagna/ asc

Vedic Astrology: The Charakaraka Replacement and Its Impact

At its deepest core Jyotiṣa is at the driving centre of all Karma. Just like life, if properly appreciated as it must, it has the status of a full-scale on-going project of immense magnitude. Karma and Soul : The Lagna and the Bhavas reckoned from the Lagna in the Rāśi Chakra indicate the physical manifestation of life. In the Varga Chakra the Lagna and the Bhāvas indicate the personality and realities of that specific environment. When we speak of Karma we inevitably speak of the soul as it is the soul which must carry and exhaust the Karma through rebirth. Charakāraka - Matters pertaining to the soul are studied and deciphered through the Charakāraka in Vedic Astrology. The Charakāraka are the temporal significators (Naisargika Kāraka) for various matters at the level of the soul and the Karma. The Charakāraka are decided on the basis of longitude of arc traversed by the planets including minutes and seconds of arc, and sometimes fractions of seconds of arc. The Eight Cha

Yanavanta/ Annapurna/ Vahana Yoga of Venus and Moon in Scorpio-8th October, 2013

The Yānavaṅta/ Yanavanta/ Annapūrṇā/ Annapurna/ Vāhana/ Vahana Yoga is formed when Venus and Moon/ Śukra and Cañdra/ Shukra and Chandra associate to form a Yoga in the Vedic horoscope; by Vedic horoscope is meant the Rāśi Cakra/ Rashi Chakra and the Varga Chakra as well, the latter being the divisional charts governing specific areas of life such as marriage (Navāmśa/ Navamsha), career (Daśāmśa/ Dashamsha), children (Saptāmśa/ Saptamsha), parents and elders (Dwādaśāmśa/ Dwadashamsha), comforts and luxuries (Ṣodaśāmśa/ Shodashamsha), spirituality and worship (Vimśāmśa/ Vimshamsha), education (Siddhāmśa/ Siddhamsha) etc. Let us consider the immediate meanings of the various terms used to indicate the Yoga formed due to the association of Venus and the Moon. The term Yānavaṅta/ Yanavanta indicates the charioteer or one guiding the vehicle of humanity or a group or individuals. It indicates leadership and the capacity to show the way to the multitudes and to guide and mould their live
