When we are close
to our Karma through sustained adherence to Vedic astrology, our vision comes
uncluttered. An example of this would be the emotional condition of the man in
general during the transit of the Moon in Libra and Scorpio which impact has
been covered in a previous paper.
Someone simply
buffeted by the winds of past Karma without having been afforded much
perspective is in the danger of responding completely instinctively. In Libra,
the transit Moon was joined Śani/ Shani and Rāhu/ Rahu and was stressed in its
own way. Thereafter the mind entered the depths during its sojourn in the
mysterious Scorpio/ Vṛṣcika/ Vrishchika where it was aspected by Rāhu/ Rahu as
well.
Currently, the
mind indicated by the movement of the Moon is joined the great retrograde
benefic Venus/ Śukra in Sagittarius/ Dhanuṣa/ Dhanusha Rāśi/ Rashi and receives
the aspect of retrograde Jupiter as well.
The proper way to
use the knowledge of Jyotiṣa/ Jyotisha/ Vedic astrology is to see the
indications of Karma and developed thought and action on the lines visible. When
we do this we are with the flow. In this smoother transit some may simply heave
a sigh of relief and be grateful for it having all become better. Others may have
charted out a way and appreciated the energies at a deeper level in the astute
personal context of their lives which of course is the focus of some of the
papers capable of being availed.
At that level we
simply do not relish the easy going nature of the conjunction of the mind with
the aesthetic principle shown by Venus but associate ourselves actively with
the field of play and the dynamics created by the Rāśi/ Rashi/ Graha and Yoga.
We use the
informed and knowledgeable optimism of Dhanuṣa Rāśi/ Dhanusha Rashi where the
mind dwells on the 28th and 29th of January, 2014. Our thoughts
and interactions are fuelled by a deep, phlegmatic understanding. The vastness
of resources available is not easy to comprehend and there are divergent pulls
as well.
Irrespective of
how a person is placed in terms of choice of surroundings in any area of life,
these tendencies will be felt based on the personal junction in the Karmic
journey. In fact when we know the horoscope well and know which planets are important
and active at any given point in time then their movements and associations
have far greater relevance than the others. Also, each planet based on its
disposition and portfolio can be similarly attended to because in another sense
all planets are always working in life.
Hope and belief
are important at this time especially since the emotions are high due to the
Rudra Yoga formed both due to the Yuti of the Gochara Cañdra/ Chandra/ Moon
with Venus and also due to the Graha Driṣṭi/ Drishti and the Rāśi Dṛṣti/ Rashi
Drishti of Mars/ Maṅgala/ Mangala in Kanya Rashi/ Rāśi/ Virgo.
Not only is there
high feeling about beliefs and aspirations but also an element of drive and
fire infused by Mars.
We all know what
is meant by support and how it feels when we support someone in need or when
someone extends a helping hand. In Jyotiṣa/ Jyotisha this is called the concept
of the Paraspara Kāraka/ Karaka. Due to the placement in mutual quadrants/ Keṅdras/
Kendras Jupiter in Gemini/ Gurū/ Guru in Mithuna Rashi/ Rāśi, Mars in Virgo and Venus and
Moon in Sagittarius have all become supportive of each other and of human
endeavour and human affairs.
Saturn makes this
transit somewhat mentally burdened despite the major benefic influences and the
formation of the Gajakeśarī/ Gajakeshari Yoga, the Gurū-Maṅgala/ Guru-Mangala
Yoga and the Yanavanta/ Annapurna Yoga. It is not bad because the mind will be
goaded to strive hard and not to rest content easily. This is Parakrama.
When we think of
these matters we also think of the energies of the day or the Vara/ Vāra and
the other constituents of the Pañcāṅga/ Panchanga. We should know the details
of the year as well because that has a distinct entity of its own.
When we are thus
attuned with the Karma, we belong in our own lives rather than wading through
like strangers to whom this life is somehow happening.
Budha/ Mercury
has also changed signs and has come to Kumbha Rāśi/ Rashi or Aquarius. This
makes the communication less focussed on work than on exploration. The rationale
and communications are venturing forth on a quest, and in the realm of work the
focus will be on aspiration in this exercise.
Mercury is a very
important planet for contemporary life and is often overlooked due to its own
youth and changeability but then we must note at junctures like this, its great
power over the human being. Its movement into Aquarius is noteworthy for this
reason.
